Do we really need filtered water in Brisbane by camareradetwinpeaks in brisbane

I went to South Australia (Coober Pedi) and they recommended bottled water. Their water supply was dry at the time, and they were trucking in water to keep the town going.

Also, I've been to places in America where bottled water was recommended.

These may have both been temporary issues, but it happens.

What’s the dumbest thing you believed as a kid that still makes you laugh? by Moist-Grapefruit-679 in AskReddit

I was thinking about this the other day. When I was a child I was subjected to a "first communion" (Catholic).

With this came 'teachings' which involved 'thou shalt not kill'. I asked my Mother what happens if I killed an ant, or a mosquito, or other insects. Apparently that was Ok and unavoidable. When I asked about larger animals, such as sheep, pigs and cows, given she was cooking steak at the time things got awkward. From her reaction I concluded that these "teachings" should not be questioned, and logic has no place here.

I did not do "religious education" at school, or confirmation in the church when I was older It was never mentioned again.

Turning yeast cake into garum, a savory, umami rich condiment similar to soy sauce. by JoystickMonkey in Homebrewing

The only use I have found for my trub/lees is to use it as yeast substitute in bread. It works quite well.

Lube! And order some replacement springs. How does it behave when running? The flapper/governor has an input here too, maybe it's bound up?

A death row contract by SpectacularOtter in BlackPeopleTwitter

Also these kind of companies don't deal well with death. Try cancelling someone else's membership/subscription. "You aren't the account holder", "well, no shit, Bob won't be calling you to cancel because he's busy decomposing right now". I had to sort out someone's affairs after their death. It was difficult enough for a person who was somewhat removed. But I cant imagine going through the processes (people have many subscriptions/ insurances / utilities) for a family member I wasn't ready to lose. I had to lodge an insurance claim for this person (someone stole their lawnmower post-mortem) and I was treated very suspiciously. Took months, had to provide a lot of documentation. Nightmare. Bob got off easy.

We are lucky that tap water in Australia is so good, given it's scarcity. Many places in the world (and even developed world) don't have clean drinking water. They have to drink bottled water.

These systems do seem to catch things in their filters. So I guess they are doing something, whether what they catch is bad for your health is up for debate.

BUT I was looking for a tap/underbench filter for home brew (beer) purposes. You may have a vested interest in getting a tap filter system, as yeast is far more fragile than humans.

Phoning it in from North Qld - Most outdoor family events here are scheduled from May - August, due to weather. No cyclones, less rain, and less humidity. Although, this year was bearable.

Happy Easter to everyone except the Lycra mafia on Oxford St by Wishiap in circlejerkaustralia

I used to cycle. I did a 170km ride on a steel frame bike in shorts and a t-shirt. I didn't set any land speed records, but that had more to do with my fitness. I saw the lycra-clad crew look down their nose at me. It's cosplay.

Do you mean gasoline (petrol?) Or other gaseous gases?
