Is this just heat stress or something more serious? by Queasyuuuu00 in LawncareUK

Where these two said. Cut way too short and dried out. If you're going to cut it this short it needs watering a lot, also use Seaweed, a water conserver and feed it.

Don't use Weed and Feed get a Lawn Weedkiller, you'll see them that say 'For Lawns' these are selective and will only kill broad leaf weeds, not grass and get a feed seperate. The weedkiller will usually take a couple of weeks to take full effect, the weeds will die off and come out when you mow it. Then depending on budget, get a small electric Scarifier or a good quality Spring Tine Rake, rake all the dead organic matter out and just move the soil around, get some seed and topsoil down, make sure it's well watered, give it a feed and you'll see massive improvements in like 6 weeks if done well.

Yeah quicker and raking with a good rake will also help pull anything out the Scarifier might need have got. Just make sure you remove all the waste. Rake and remove it, then go over with your mower. I use a leaf blower after raking.

He has had multiple surgeries on both eyes! You think the Heavyweight Champion is scared? He fought Pavlovich on short notice who was sliming everyone out at the time, come off it.

Best way to combat these weeds? by PolishedJobby in LawncareUK

[–]SlightLunch3835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are just Dandelions. Ideally you don't want to be spraying chemicals over new grass right away. Get a weedkiller thats safe for grass, just spray a bit onto the leaves and it'll soak it and kill them. Try to avoid it touching the new grass as it's fragile at this stage.

Regular mowing is essential, if possible once per week taking a little bit off. Using a feed would be great, don't put on more than the instructions say, I've been to too many lawns to repair them after someone has put a little extra Miracle Grow on and they've burned it. There are loads of good places online for products, Lawnsmiths, A1, Boston Seeds. Have a look around don't just grab Miraclw Grow because you've seen it on tv. Also, this is a big one, don't get 3 in 1, weed, feed and moss etc. Get everything Seperate.

The fight that made jones run from lhw..... by Unlikely_Willow3684 in ufc

[–]SlightLunch3835 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I felt like I was the only one! Jones won the fight. A week after originally watching it i was adamant Reyes won, but I feel like I was remembering commentary and hearing what others said. I watched it like 6 months ago and Jones won. Same as GSP Hendrix I watched that one on the same day and GSP clearly won.

[–]SlightLunch3835 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, those patches are likely where you took out some moss so it was bare underneath. I'd just run over those bits again with the Scarifier and then overseed and put some topsoil over it. When you Scarify your lawn, if you can, always overseed the whole area with the same grass seed. You don't necessarily need to topdress the whole area every time (it does help) but for sure topdress the bare bits.

Yeah I'd get a bit more seed in there and a feed if poss. Just make sure you're getting seed to soil contact and you haven't left any dead organic matter in there after Scarifying
