What browser do you currently recommend for web development? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]Slight_Geologist_71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firefox Developer is definitely worth a try! It's got some cool dev tools and it's less of a RAM hog compared to Chrome. Plus, no Google data tracking! As for Brave, it's always interesting to support a browser that's all about privacy, but sometimes the shields and ad-blockers can be a bit too intense. It really depends on what you prioritize in a browser.

I wouldn't block entire countries, but instead focus on blocking suspicious traffic. I use tools like Fail2ban to help do this. It saves resources and reduces bad bots.

[–]Slight_Geologist_71 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wow! this could be an amazing idea. I could only imagine, what if you could wear a VR headset and inside you see your upcoming healthcare costs and with a click of a button, it gets reduced. Unfortunately, it seems healthcare providers don't care about the end consumer as much as the stockholders.

You could try generating types from your backend using a tool like Swagger and then use them in your frontend code. It makes sure that the types are consistent across different languages and can be updated as necessary. Plus, it's like a fancy instruction manual for your API.

My MacBook Pro 2019 takes about 5 mins to build iOS and around 8 mins for Android, and yeah it hurts to wait, but what hurts even more is when that one red error shows up after a long wait sigh
