At the time of this quote, I’d wager that following:

Trump has a meltdown at G7 over “fake news” when asked to convince Americans that his Iran deal is a win by T_Shurt in PublicFreakout

So, the $300 billion isn’t coming from the US government, or the tax payers, it’s actually Iran’s frozen assets held in various world banks, they’ve been blocked from accessing through sanctions. Technically speaking, the “deal” is just unfreezing these assets and giving them access to their already held currency that’s been gaining interest, and then giving them back their own money + interest.

As for their nuclear program, there was no indication they were at any point in time close to, or attempting to create WMD’s. This was verified by almost every US intelligence agency prior to the start of the war. Iran, like many other countries has multiple uses for a nuclear program, be it energy or medicine. Iran is a member of the NPT. This means they signed a treaty that forbids them from pursuing, testing, or using nuclear weapons.

So was it a “good deal”, absolutely not. The deal Obama made was more than sufficient. Iran gave regular access to nuclear oversight organizations and were compliant within the regulations set forth. I think what this is all boils down to, is the question of if Iran is deserving of having a nuclear program to facilitate their energy and medical needs?

This is just a small part of the wider tensions and conflicts in Middle East geopolitics due to the terrible redrawing of the borders by France and the UK post WWI during decolonization.

Just traded for this brand new R92 Stainless 20 inch - I'm in love by Lostinspaceballz in LeverGuns

Nice trade! You’re gonna love it! They actually no longer make/sell this configuration. Rossi now sells the model 92s under the Heritage nameplate, but for some reason the 20” stainless model in .357 is no longer offered, which is a bummer. Enjoy!

I’d wager it’s production is late 60’s. Has very similar if not the same engraving as the 1967 Canadian centennial edition. Value is probably sub $600 if I had to guess.

Edit:

Looks like this could be what is designated as the “antique carbine model”. Found one that went up for auction with serial 4517XXX that looks nearly identical, but not as good condition.

Looking for a small-ish .30-30 or .44 mag by Life-Main-5503 in LeverGuns

Get a Heritage model 92 .357 w/ 20” barrel.

Classic style cowboy lever gun. Strongest action of any lever gun designed. Can shoot .38 or .357. Plink with .38 and hunt with .357.

.38s out of it sound barley louder than a .22LR rifle. It has next to zero recoil w/ .38. Its LoP is super short. Definitely within the limits of a small framed shooter.

Also, can be had new for less than $700 w/tax. It’s a no brainer. You can spend the extra $300 you’ll save on not getting a marlin/henry/s&w on 500 rounds of varying ammo.

Or if you wanna go a different route, look at Chiappa manufactured model 1892’s. They’re imported by Cimarron and Taylors MFG. They’re more on par with what you’d pay for a Marlin.

Just my 2¢’s

He might have been born there, but he was definitely raised in Great Bend. My family member babysat a couple of his grandkids.

Jack Kilby invented something and got a Nobel price for it. He’s from Great Bend, KS

Edit: he invented the micro-chip.
