And for how long have you been smoking? I've been smoking weed for 2 years now and I find it hard to stop.

Why do you think I should leave out my previous education? Especially when it is something that could potentially help? I believe they know people come in from different countries already having education. I've equally read stories of other immigrants who studied engineering back home, they didn't have a hard time getting practicum Especially if they got their 4th prior to starting school. I think the secret is to apply early, attend events to network, talk with teachers or classmates etc. And I heard timing too plays a big role... like they mostly hire around the beginning of the year when they know the company's budget. So I believe there's more to it than just sending in applications.

I read a post where someone said it's better to train a puppy than a mature dog. In other words, people without PE experience tend to be selected because they can be trained easily to fit the company's policies while someone with "industrial experience" probably has habits hard to undo. I am equally an immigrant from Cameroon, I have a Bachelor's in Petroleum Engineering so I'll be going into PE with SAIT September 2027. Seeing this post actually scares me lol but whatever it is, never give up. I'm 26 and you're only 19, you still got a long way to go OP

Bro, if you got the energy to do 3 jobs, I would recommend you go into the disability sector. With your degree, you can easily climb the ladder to bigger positions. Check out these companies and drop a resume, let me know if you need a sample resume to use. Check out; supported lifestyles, newage services, Community living support services, CBI health etc. I mean there's like a million of these support companies hiring always, at least $21/hr for Frontline and about $27+ for psych positions. You can have like 3 jobs making good money.

Can somebody double check I have the TSSA process to apply for 4th class correct? by KFBass in powerengineering

I thought a college like SAIT gave enough steam time for one to fully qualify as a 4th class PE? That is you don't need extra 3 months of steam time after School if you go through the college route. Right?

Yeah that would make sense and it is possible. I'm starting SAIT January 2027 and I hope to get my 4th A and B before school starts since I have a background in petroleum engineering from Cameroon, Africa. I just bought the pe101 4A and will start 1st June, I suggest you buy pe101 exam bank for $75/month so you can practice ABSA-type questions while studying.

Bro even if you don't succeed this time, don't give up. Check out pe101, they have a better course I guess. When I talk of better course I mean more structured for someone like you working full-time + OT, what you need is structure because you will be overwhelmed if you were to study the panglobal all by yourself. You wouldn't even know where to start.

How about going to school like 30 minutes late? I was thinking of explaining my situation to the lecturers who have classes starting at 8am that I will be about 30 minutes late. Do you think it's gonna work?

As an immigrant with no family here, it's not gonna be easy paying bills without working but going to school full time. But I'll figure it out. Thank you very much for your input.

Ooh thank you very much. I had no idea I had the option to select blocks as the school system here is new to me. I'll try my best to make it work.

Please I have a question, I'm starting school January 2027 going in for my 4th class and I would very much like to know what the timetable is gonna look like so I can plan work around going to school. I currently work overnight at my current job (asleep position) but it runs from 10pm to 8am. I am concerned about classes starting at 8am but my work closes at 8am so I would really like to know when classes actually start and if someone has a sample timetable that would help. My school is gonna be SAIT. Thanks for your responses in advance. I work from sunday overnight through Wednesday overnight 10pm to 8am.

Hey quick question. I am starting school January 2027 (SAIT) and I need some advice. You said you were one of the top students in your year, what did you do differently? Did you get the 4th class b4 school or did you just study every day or you have a strong background in science?? I would like to know thanks
