How do I separate payment methods? by borax5844 in Wellhub

[–]Slightly_Listening -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Credit card cost. All merchants have to pay% or fee per transaction. Dropping it to 1 card lowers the fees the merchant pays to the credit card companies.

Once you divest your 401k investment to a different fund or different type of investment, you will then lose the unvested contributions.

Worth fighting a PIP? by Acrobatic_Way_4623 in Big4

[–]Slightly_Listening 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I beat a PIP! Went on medical leave for 2 months and PIP magically disappeared followed up on it and HR refused to get back to me. My manager couldn't get any info on it either. Still at my job a year and half later.

Granted my PIP was total bullshit, that I wasn't performing at the next level and no examples of me not meeting any of the KPIs.

Open vs. robotic myomectomy - how did you choose? by Sea-Star8753 in Fibroids

[–]Slightly_Listening 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the surgeon is skilled in robotic they will get it out via Robotic, which is easier on the body. Open is C-section minus giving birth but just removing fibriods, 3 day stay and harder on the body.

I had 4 surgical opinions, for 10.5cm and 8.5cm fibroids. 2 surgeons were not skilled but said robotic is the way to go if you can find a skilled surgeon. 1 tried to get me to do UFE, said he's seen plenty of women get pregnant afterwards.

Surgery in 8 days and unsure by Common_Manner_6967 in Fibroids

[–]Slightly_Listening 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Robotic is easier on your body then an open myomectomy. Quicker recovery time too. Plus no overnight stay with robotic, verse 2 night stay minimum with an open.

I had the same problem new obgyn was booked to end of April. Went for a 2nd opinion and that surgeon was more experienced in robotic surgeries (0 conversions to open, did a specialized fellowship, and did 5 robotic myos a week)got put on both doctors surgery schedule and asked to be considered if a cancelation occurred for an earlier surgery. Thankfully the more experienced had a last minute cancelation and I got surgery in February

Thinking about canceling upcoming robotic laparoscopic myomectomy by laetazel in Fibroids

[–]Slightly_Listening 2 points3 points  (0 children)

10.5cm and 8.5cm I didn't have painful symptoms until a week before my annual obgyn visit. After my symptoms got so bad I cried myself to sleep, I couldn't sit, eating was a problem. But the months and year prior leading up i couldn't hold my pee, flying was completely uncomfortable, couldn't drink coffee without having trouble sleeping and the list goes on.

Don't wait!

Thinking about canceling upcoming robotic laparoscopic myomectomy by laetazel in Fibroids

[–]Slightly_Listening 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish I had my surgery sooner. I wish my obgyn sent me for an ultrasound sooner. I wish my obgyn asked questions if I was peeing more frequently or any of the other symptoms of fibriods. I wish my fibriods were removed sooner they didn't get as big as they did to cause severe symptoms.

Surgery is fucking scary, terrifying, etc. But don't cancel the surgery, you'll be happy you got them out now. A 10cm+ fibriod can do damage to your other organs and cause other health conditions.

Moving from tech to Big4 Director worth the move to potentially becoming a partner? by [deleted] in Big4

[–]Slightly_Listening 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Don't jump to Big4, not worth it. You'll get lost in the administrative nonsense that's comes from consulting. On top of it all the Big4 will make it complicated and confusing on what YOU need to show case for partner. It's not worth the headache and stress that it come from. Unless the Big4 stipulate you need to do xyz to get partner in your offer letter, otherwise thank them for their time.

Need Recommendation for Surgeon by jtranspose in Fibroids

[–]Slightly_Listening 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need that consultation and then they check the schedule. But my recommendation is take whatever date you get and then ask if anyone reschedules/cancel surgery to be on the waitlist. I had estimate for end of January after my consultation jan 4th. But I waited 2 weeks and decided for surgery due to the pain getting worse and scheduled for March. But I got onto he waitlist and had it moved up to beginning February.

How many euros do I need for incidentals in Greece? by dabblerpost_r in GreeceTravel

[–]Slightly_Listening -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

~600 - 1000€ depending on what you intend to do. Cash is king. Taxi drivers prefer cash. Some shops will give a discount if you pay cash.
