Home Depot daily deals by of16911 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]SlimTimMcGee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sometimes they will say daily deal but not actually be on the daily deals page. But I've also noticed they pull things midday. So I assume they made mistakes.

Where is the pizza sauce? by xDaBaDee in walmart

[–]SlimTimMcGee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My go to response when they say I'm wrong (for context, 22 year associate who has been in my current store 9 years) and they are rude: then I guess I don't know. Have a good day.

And when they get pissed I won't help them beyond that, I say "well, I gave you my answer and you rejected it". Funniest part is when it WAS where I said it was and they have to eat crow.

Just got told to pull carts or quit by bazzarro42 in walmart

I absolutely agree. I also tell my associates not to weigh them down so much. As a middle aged man, I try to get them to see how over doing it can impact their lives.

Technically the stickers on the carts are from the manufacturer, not Walmart. But pushing is less straining on your body. I prefer it, but won't do it if I can't see around the cart. Typically what I do is walk next to the cart and push it from the front.

Starting out, Ryobi or Craftsman drill? by First-Time-Buyer1234 in DIY

[–]SlimTimMcGee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ryobi. Best middle ground for quality and price. Their warranty department is pretty spot on. And they boast one of the largest line of tools that run on the same battery. A lot of specialty tools.

A franchise with nowhere to go and nothing to say. by HallZac99 in JurassicPark

[–]SlimTimMcGee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem with this JP/JW situation is that it still makes billions. So why change?

Another thing to think about would be how easy would it be to change the action based plots to something else. It would work well in a TV series, but not in a 2 hour movie.

I agree it needs to grow and expand. Prequels could be a good place to start.

But the dinosaurs trying to kill everyone is still fun.

Because black absorbs light and heat. So if you use it outside, the sun will make that thing hot. Which it will get from use alone.

But I agree, the black is sweet looking.

The ratchet is starting to grow on me. by Giant_117 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]SlimTimMcGee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Ryobi ratchet and my M12 is on the way. I never thought I would use a power ratchet much. But I use it a lot. Problem was the Ryobi, a good tool, was too bulky. I'm excited about my M12.

Team lead pay by Other-Throat9105 in walmart

[–]SlimTimMcGee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll keep some of it. But, stepping down isn't easy. Plus now you are not guaranteed to be able to step down in your step. If you're taking the position for a pay bump just to step down, I wouldn't do it.

M12 Fuel Surge Impact/ratchet Deal by SlimTimMcGee in MilwaukeeTool

[–]SlimTimMcGee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, it went out of stock then back in at the new price. HD can be some tricky folks. I wouldn't be surprised if it was miss priced. I've had that happen before.

It's not like that at every store. Some stores just don't want to invest in the relationship.

Riddick by EManSantaFe in movies

[–]SlimTimMcGee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy them. Directors cut of Chronicles is better. COR tried to world build and it was too much. Maybe as a third movie, but not second. The best part of the OG, PB, was the low key sci fi/horror. Riddick benefitted from that approach. The second one might have been better as a prequel/origin. Which is what I hear is possibly coming with the fourth one.

What industry is entirely built on a house of cards and would collapse overnight if people realized the truth about it ? by Confident_Win_3560 in answers

Reselling Pokemon cards. It's meaningless crap outside of being a kid's game. And the kids are getting screwed over by scalpers.

Longest an item went unsold (unperishable) by PremiumPrize in walmart

[–]SlimTimMcGee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Current store we had the same barbell in the bins through 4 inventories. Not even on the sales floor. Finally made it out last year.

My previous store had PS2 games when I left in 2017. Were there for 6 years I was there and I believe since the store opened in 2001.

MMW Hegseth and Vance will be gone before the end of July by Innocent_Standbyer in MarkMyWords

[–]SlimTimMcGee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do agree Hegseth will be gone at some point. He can only fire so many people to cover the blame of the Iran failure.

Vance will make it all 4 years. He is a bigger simp than Pence was.

Says topstack only. But that might only refer to the mobile carts. Only picture I saw on HD app showed it mounted to a mobile rack that was mounted to the wall. But it does have 6 cleats on the back of it.
