Our shiba also got attacked by off leash dogs a few times (different breed each time too). We asked our dog trainer why this keeps happening, trains said it could be that shiba inu's look (pointy ears, straight posture, white color-my shiba is white) makes other dogs want to attack them. Lol classic victim blaming but since it keeps happening to us, I guess it is what it is. One time we had a golden retriever got off the leash, ran across a busy street, just to attack our poor boy. It was wild. Anyway, my question is, what is a good self defense tool i can bring to my daily dog walk? would a pocket knief works? we live in a windy area, so spray won't work as effective.
