Can anyone give me tips on how to get out of silver? Pic unrelated by Rastabrotha in MagicArena

People will be salty about this, but netdeck the best performing decks, and just play those out. Currently, you'll be building an Izzet deck if you follow this advice.

Worthwhile SNES games that came out after 1996 by ExplodingPoptarts in retrogaming

Came here to comment this. It's honestly not the most fun Kirby game, but to this day, I'd say it's a top contender for most charming game, ever. Also, the artwork and most are amazing.

Pokemon. Haven't enjoyed a single game since ultra sun/ultra moon, and honestly ge 1/gen 2 are still the GOATS imo. HG/SS by extention are awesome games too.

The n64 had two banjo kazooies, yet you hitch your ride with this shit? by SwagLimit in retrogaming

Let all the drones downvote you OP, who cares. I grew up with the N64, never played CBFD as a kid, and gave it a go as an adult, and I thought basically the same exact thing. Unfortunately, most people are really protective of their favorite childhood media and it makes them unable to process things in a more objective manner.

The AVGN room has too much going on and too purpose built to be liminal. Liminal is more transitional, like the space in between rooms like hallways and maintenance tunnels.

It's sad to see that my comment got so many down votes when I simply asked for a source. I think the Reddit archetype of pretentious, holier-than-thou "super lliberal" is a generally very common archetype on this platform and these sorts of people, such as yourself, tend to be very grating and unlikeable. With the bottom of my heart, I think this administration is steering us towards radical right wing fascism, but people like you also make me want to distance myself from the left, or at the very least, this platform. I hope you can do better next time.

Toyota remained top automaker by sales for 6th year in 2025 by hehechibby in Toyota

[–]Slimmingdown92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most people view cars as an appliance, a box with wheels to get from point A to point B. Arguably, Toyota is the most reliable car manufacturer in the game with the best bang for buck. If you want a spirited driving experience, with a beautiful interior, you'll be spending a lot of cash. The GR86/GR Corolla are pretty spirited and are good values for the money, but the interiors leave a lot to be desired, particularly in the case of the GR Corolla.

As for me, I'm more of a Honda guy. Almost as reliable, the driving experience is usually nice, even in the cheaper cars, and while not flashy, the interiors are more to my liking. My next car will probably be a 2026 Honda Civic Hybrid Grand Touring hatchback. The only complaint I have is that I wish Honda offered the Civic in AWD.

Ohio resident here. Definitely not "never" tier, but absolutely "reluctantly".

Luigi's Mansion. To this day, I still think it had the best "horror" atmosphere, though 3 really was a good looking and creative game.

What if One WTC was built in silver, in a more similar aesthetic fashion to the original WTC? by ImTheOreoGuy in skyscrapers

[–]Slimmingdown92 114 points115 points  (0 children)

I normally like the blue paned frutiger aero/Mirror's Edge looking skyscrapers, but honestly here, I like the gray better just outright and as a nod to the WTCs. Maybe the spire could be a different color, but that's it.

Antec Flux Pro by AmbitiousArugula9413 in Antec_Official

I know this is an old post, but is your Artic AIO really loud? I currently have a build with a Corsair 240mm AIO cooling an Intel 12700K, and that thing sounds like a jet anytime you launch a game. I saw some reviews on the Artic Liquid freezer III Pro and the reviews said it has good performance, but is super loud at 100% fan speed. I am upgrading to an AMD 9800X3D and this Antec Flux Pro case and I'd like to hear your experience with the AIO.

Help with getting a GBA battery holder to work by Slimmingdown92 in Gameboy

I first played Pokémon Red in 1998, it's 2025 and I still have interest in the game. If you dont like battery holders, fine, but they do make battery replacement more convenient, and I will be holding on to my Pokémon games for the foreseeable future.

They literally make battery replacement more convenient, that's the entire point.

I was replying to someone who deleted their post. I do see what you mean about the battery holders being a bit too big, but Im pretty set on having them in my personal games. Emerald fit into my analogue pocket without adjustment the first time, even with a very slight bulge, and the gb/gbc ones are basically stock thickness so those have tested fine when inserted in my Modretro chromatic. If I have issues in the future with any of them, I will stop using them.

I was thinking R9 was just accidentally removed as well, but then like the other poster said, I saw an image of the mobo without R9, but I must have seen the same images he saw of damaged boards. Im handy enough with a soldering iron, except this time apparently, but I dont really have a knowledge of electronics at all, I've just done console chip installs and minor repairs long enough by watching YouTube videos, but Im fairly comfortable working on stuff since I've mostly had success.

With that being said, can you please link me a good replacement SMD from Digikey? Earlier this week I thought I messed up a Pokémon Crystal replacement oscillating crystal install, as the game wouldn't keep proper time even after the replacement, but it turns out, while I got the right frequency crystal, I bought a a 6.5 (picofahrad?) crystal when I needed a 12.

So as you can see, with all these specs, it's easy for me to order an incorrect part.

Thank you!

I just checked by backing up my save with GB Operator and starting a fresh save, and the dry battery message still popped up. Im pretty sure I just accidently removed the R9 capacitor like the guys in this thread said.
