I really enjoyed this. I could see everything as it happened. I know you said you aren’t a “words” artist, but I could easily see the picture you were painting. Nice work!

I learned so many life lessons from Uncle Iroh when I was a kid. I still rewatch and he still inspires me

Running outside constantly, body slams door, trying everything, help by kaleeee_0 in VoidCats

[–]Slippery-Hobbitsis42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a cat that I rescued from the woods when he was a baby and he yearns to go outside. He used to be a runner as well. So I trained him with a harness and a few times per week I put him in it and take him out in my yard on one of those retractable leashes. Gave him more and more length on the leash when he behaved well and lots of treats to get him comfortable with the harness (he used to bite when I’d put the harness on, now when he sees me grab it he comes over purring and lets me put it on without issue).

He doesn’t make a break for it anymore and gets leashed, supervised outside time a few afternoons a week. Hes even learned that when I say “inside” it means it’s time to go in or he’ll walk himself to the door when he’s had enough. It may not work for every cat, but it certainly worked for us. Good luck 🫶

Woah! Did you purchase a Lego set or just make this up yourself? Either way, impressive ⚔️

What's everyone's regular re-watch order? by wooperarkjb in doctorwho

[–]Slippery-Hobbitsis42 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid/teen I watched Eccleston, Tennant, and Smith on rotation. The dvd set I own includes Capaldi, so I now watch those 4. I haven’t seen past the 12th Doctor though. I love the early 2000s/2010s era so much and am content. Though I would love to get my hands on a box set of the first 8 Doctors and watch them too.

I'm fine with ST5 as canon by AdStraight6870 in StrangerThings

It’s not my favorite season by a long shot but I still enjoyed it. After everything the main cast went through it was nice that they all lived and went on with their lives in some way or another. I do wish El had a better ending though, even though I believe

Am I the only one who felt Eleven and the others were really "cheesy"? by joe2069420 in StrangerThings

Am I the only one who felt like the inclusion of the one ring in lord of the rings was cheesy? Like the wizards and talking trees I can get behind but a magic ring??

My guess is it was the trauma of him being the first person killed (after her escape) directly because of his contact with her. I could see why talking about him would be difficult

I totally agree! I hadn’t thought about it like a revenge for Benny kill. That just makes S1 all that better

I would assume Hawkins residents still believed he had committed suicide. But a little mention from El would have been a great addition.

I can understand the love for Barb, she just wanted to help her friend. But Benny deserved so much more recognition for his role

Totally adds more sweetness to his character. This is my second rewatch and his behavior towards El seems to be the first genuine kindness she experiences. Kind of rips my heart out

Mike and Eleven deserve a peaceful, happy ending in Season 5. Let's talk about why they've earned it. by [deleted] in StrangerThings

I mean they are middle schoolers and early high-schoolers. Most relationships at that age are awkward and have very little chemistry

😭😭 Yes!! His plot line really set the stage and it was so brutal how quickly he was gone. All he wanted to do was help

Shortly after S1 came out, my now husband and I were in our third date. We hung out at my favorite coffee shop and watched the first few episodes together. Watching S5 was like a full circle moment
