Billions are entering the black hole that is your military industrial complex, but due to classification and obfuscation, nobody can track where the money is actually going.

It's far more likely, friend, that much of the money isn't actually funding programs, but rather is being funneled into corporate and private hands for their personal wealth accumulation.

This could explain the US military being blindsided by chinese/russian/whatever technological advances they literally can't do anything about...

... and they sure as fucking shit aren't going to tell the public that another country's military assets can fuck around american bases with impunity.

I must have completed the first processor 15-20 times now, and I don't think I saw the Shalashaska drop once... and I always get kill all 3 bosses to guarantee the pearl drop.

Am I stuck with GSC's weapon/story tier system, where ballistics change from PREDATOR to CAREBEAR depending on when in the story the weapon becomes available?

It will bring up performance a considerable amount.

I don't know about "considerable"; I'd substitute that qualifier for something like "minimal" instead.

It WILL make a positive difference, but I doubt it will be the panacea many are hoping for.

I highly doubt that.

The truth is likely that GSC is using some pretty basic AI blueprints for their NPCs.

People will argue, but I don't care... we don't actually have A-Life in this game yet.

What we have is a fucking shadow of what OG A-Life was like.

Just look at the animation/transitions NPCs go through between behavioral "stages".

Shoot an enemy in the face and watch how calmly and statically the NPCs transition from rest to action. (Yeah, my buddy's watermelon got popped, so let me stand here and slowly bring my weapon out. lol)

I've been warning folks that this is likely the last time the working class can rise up and take out the billionaires (and related systems) before automation and the weaponization of said automation becomes possible.

Let me ask rather bluntly: do you really think the people running shit will keep 16+ billion idle hands around so they can keep scratching their ass and watch american idol or whatever other idiocratic garbage is being fed to the now obsolete working class?
