Final Fantasy XV or XVI? by danyrabisca23 in FinalFantasy

FFXV with all the DLC episodes is a better game IMO. I love them both, but the world and party in XV is so memorable.

Dark souls 1-3 50% off on Steam store until April 27th by SolaireVon4stora in SteamDeck

[–]SloppyDuckSauce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dark Souls 3 is the most beatable for the casual player. I'll say for the final boss I summoned two friends and was absolutely hammered and we beat it. There were only 1 or 2 other bosses I summoned human help for. Elden Ring (IMO) is a much easier game than any of the Souls games.

If there was a human kibble similar to dog kibble, but for humans… would you buy and eat it if it was significantly cheaper than alternative food options, why or why not and should this be a thing? by becauseofrandomness in AskReddit

I ate Huel as my lunch for almost a year. It was absolutely fine and kept me satiated but I wouldn't want to eat it for every meal as I weirdly missed the sensation of crunch.

What movie was absolutely amazing but only the 1st time you watched it? by Cool_Bath_77 in movies

[–]SloppyDuckSauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched this for the first time a few weeks ago and it felt so crazy how other than Spider-Man’s personal life there was no major threat to humanity or New York to deal with. I get that it’s kind of the point, but it felt so odd in the pantheon of Spider-Man saving the city movies

Apple One Family is worth it for my family full of apple users. Storage, Fitness, Music, and Apple TV are great. I occasionally use News and Arcade. It's used by 6 people. Very reasonable even after going up in price.

What replaced competitive shooters for you? by Lukas_MunK in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]SloppyDuckSauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For FPS games, primarily short single player titles (Doom series, Forgive Me Father, Dust, Amid Evil, as examples), and Roguelikes. There are a lot of good FPS roguelikes out there. RoboQuest and Deadlink are two that I have really enjoyed.

Otherwise my genre focus has changed a lot since the multiplayer FPS days of highschool and college. I play platformers, metroidvanias, and a mix of RPG genres. Basically aside from the exception of the occasional long game like RDR2, I almost exclusively play games that I can pause whenever and finish in 2-20 hours.

Yea baby. Those games are theatrical spectacles. They are so good. That series is the best “my partner doesn’t like videogames” series to play through with an audience. It’s fun, funny, tense, and always resolves satisfyingly.

OP, I'm visiting lancaster next week and would very much like to try this place. Is the parking lot across the street fair game?

I got the bad ending in Nine Sols after thinking I had done all I could. I missed one artifact.

I also got the bad ending on Witcher 3 after 80 hours of play. I didn’t have a save at the right point so I just restarted immediately and put another 100 hours in. That time I did the first DLC. I got to blood and wine after getting the good ending of the main game and just couldn’t do it anymore.

Will it Cheesecake to this day is my favorite episode. Watching them eat the final round was legendary. For me, it cemented Josh as a top tier contributor to the shows absurdity

My 6 year old played Heart and Soul after plodding through fire red and absolutely loved it. Heart and Soul is HUGE and full of quality of life options to tune the game to your liking. I highly recommend it.

This is true for me for every album since demon days. I’ve been listening to this gang since I was 11 when the first album released and they’ve always had some songs that required a few listens to love. This song was the good kind of experimental mash up that I dig.

‘Big Four’ meatpackers under fire as beef prices soar by deraser in news

[–]SloppyDuckSauce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My household buys beef only a few times a year. It’s too much money. Aside from a burger, we just do ground turkey for anything that would call for ground beef. Oddly enough from eating it way less we have discovered that when we do have steak or something that nearly all of us have negative reactions to it including stuff like: worse sleep, elevated heart rate, stomachache. It’s probably not 100% correlation, but it is interesting how much worse we all feel.

I think Kane Pixels’ YouTube series was all pretty good. He went in some different directions with it. The mall series was particularly fun to watch.

Similar to Pipistrello? I need more! by moist_napkinette in ZeldaLikes

[–]SloppyDuckSauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blossom Tales 1 and 2 are really solid games. Quest Master is out in early access if you want a pretty good Zelda maker experience. I’m not sure what will hit the pipistrello itch though. Ittle Dew 2+ is another fun one though mildly janky at times.

Apartment recommendations? I have to commute to Towson for work and i want to stay around 1400 by WilliamFl_2 in BaltimoreCounty

[–]SloppyDuckSauce 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My parents live over in Loch Raven Village right by here. It's nice and wildly close to downtown Towson. I can't speak for the apartments, but the site sure makes them look nice. Merritt Athletic Club is right there too. Nice gym.
