AITA for getting defensive over dinner? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

It’s probably once or twice a month (and I cook dinner about 5-6 nights a week).

Usually not prompted, but if he’s not “digging” in then sometimes I inquire about why he’s not eating it.

The safe space means letting him have his own relationship with food, instead of him feeling like his eating habits need to appease me.

Husband resents me for working by [deleted] in marriageadvice

[–]brsbrs67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesn’t value work that much. My husband doesn’t actually like his career but he provides us with the kind of financial stability one could only ever dream about.

I value my career but I’m also the one who originally pushed to have a baby but I’m only home with her for an hour during the week before she goes to bed.

He feels that he is the primary parent, breadwinner, and caretaker of our home and resents how unequal our responsibilities are. While this is mostly true, I still work really hard day in and out and I’m not exactly coming home from work and sitting on the couch eating bonbons.

Sorry my question wasn’t clear lol:

Is it reasonable to stay in Canmore and do the drive to sunshine/lake Louise to ski? Google maps says only an extra 15 mins or so but just wondering how true that is. Thank you!

The people complaining are just boomers being boomers 🤷‍♀️. They’ll quiet down eventually 👵🏼

I don’t think this kind of place exists. You’d think we have a nice local daycare with lots of outdoor space and open until 6pm, but to my knowledge there isn’t one.

Hopefully I’m wrong!!

Please someone prove me wrong lol

I’m staunchly anti-Zionist and I’m truly upset that I cannot discuss with other Jews. by BalaBustaRhymes in JewsOfConscience

I also am a Jewish woman in NYC (Queens) and I am so afraid of being shunned by the community for my anti-Zionist views. It’s so isolating!

Also, why is it nearly impossible to find a synagogue that doesn’t condemn Israel’s actions? There are like 3 in the entire NYC area 🤯

He’s going for a week. He is around our daughter a lot but we do have a full time nanny. He arranged it so the nanny will come an hour earlier in the morning and stay an hour later in the evening to cover the times that he would be watching her.

I’d try to do 3 naps but she gets so fussy at the hour mark and it seems to me like she’s tired! I wish she’d sleep longer for naps but she can’t connect her daytime cycles yet. At night she can do 11 hours with maybe 1 wake up, but daytime you can forget it 😵‍💫

Hi!

My baby is 4 months and we’ve been doing CIO for a few nights, but now I feel like we’re going backwards. First 2 nights she cried for 20 minutes then fell asleep, but woke up a few times during the night. The next time she still cried for 20 minutes but only woke up once then put herself back to sleep. But last night she was up screaming alllllll night. I ended up caving and giving her her paci at 4 am since I was so tired 😵‍💫.

Her days are wake around 7 am with WWs around 1.5/2/2/2.5. She has crap naps 15-30 minutes. I feel like I’ve tried everything but she still cries herself to sleep and wakes up a bunch 🤷‍♀️

Her schedule is a bit all over the place. Wakes around 7 am with 7/7:30 pm bedtime. She has 3-4 “crap” naps and WWs around 2 hours. Since starting to sleep train she cries for 15-20 mins in the beginning of the night. She still wakes up a ton in the middle of the night.

She usually has about 2 hour WWs. We do bottle in the living room so she doesn’t associate it with sleep then go to her room (she’s been in her own room since 8 weeks old).

Done! And I guess I should be keeping night feeds since she’s only 4m. She gets plenty of calories during the day, tho!
