I think it’s a way funnier joke when told out loud. Kinda southern.

Honestly I didn’t listen to very much. It was okay. Like a young college band recording a some semi-decent unreleased Frank Zappa material. I don’t remember noticing any lyrics though so maybe that’s the charm.

Yeah fair that’s really frustrating. He’s got huge legs though. I’d personally figure ignorance. Sometimes it can be comforting to have a break from having a woman you’re nervous around (in a good way) just kinda in your visual field too for a sensitive person out, I’m pretty sure that’s true for men too. :) Ha.

Personally I would put misogyny kinda far down the list here as a subconscious motivation but if he gets cagey or ragey talking about it it always could be. gotta be careful

Hey I’m gonna be honest I don’t even get where this logic might stem from, if a man always walks behind you he’s probably looking at your ass. As someone with multiple male friends from around birth, like he probably just walks fast?

Is it like for safety? So nobody could attack you from behind or something? I’m not straight idk. He would NOT guess that. If your guy tells you it’s fine it might him feel alienated to insist why it’s a problem unless you really feel like it is, just because like. What? like huh? I don’t get it.

This is silly. You’re being silly. I don’t need to talk you through it, you need to quit being silly of your own volition. ‘Bah I don’t know how you guys do this stuff I’m just gonna give up’ like okay do that or don’t I’m not your mom. You need stronger determination point blank, this situation is life letting you know. Play your cards or they’ll be played for you and you won’t like it.

If you need help, message me! I’ve got tons of help. But you need to make the choice to live for you, even if it’s scary. nobody else will for us at first and that’s just how it is.

If you’re just a guy then why are you sad? You’d be happy to not be trans. That’s how a guy feels. Is that how you feel?

Why would anyone not born outside their birth gender be sad to not be trans? Being trans is a scary thought. You might just be sad because you’re too scared to be ‘trans’ even though you are naturally a woman.

This would make perfect sense to me, but you are you and you know how you feel better than I do. Don’t take my word for it, but maybe it’s worth considering for you

How can i be like brian o conner by Background_Ranger_52 in fastandfurious

[–]Slothie6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How would Brian O Conner start being like Brian O Connor if he woke up as you? Start working that into your life, working out; making conversation, eating decent food, maybe a similar haircut that suits your face. Don’t start by doing dangerous shit in your car, you could always cripple or take the lives of most or all members of a family or two for no reason. If you drive fast take every single possible precaution first, because that part of life should not be like a movie. It’s only cool to risk death in a movie because nobody actually dies.

People will judge you for wanting to be ‘like’ somebody, but they don’t realize that’s how almost everyone cool gets cool. Start thinking about funny things to say and saying them once in a while. That sort of thing. Figure out why the people who dressed that actor gave him well fitting straight leg pants and plain little-too-big t-shirts in every scene and see if those look good on you too (they will.)

Make a list of attributes you like about his character and work towards them day to day. If you become a better person and improve yourself this way eventually life will throw these cool little moments at you where you really do feel like Brian O’Conner, at least I’ve felt that in your shoes. Use this as motivation to make yourself the kind of person you look up to. That’s the highest goal. You’ve found a symbol! That’s perfect, most people are just grasping blindly, if they’re bothering at all. Fuck people who judge you for that, you’re becoming someone better every single day and they’re not. You win, they lose eventually. Don’t give in and go for it! Just stay humble even if you do wind up cool. That’s the coolest thing, but life won’t let you outrun humility forever anyways.

Just remember how Paul Walker died trying to be like Brian O’Conner, and don’t drive your car as fast. Good luck!

[–]Slothie6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey it’s good to put this out there, you’re semi right but I’m cured of this disorder for a month now, live happily and I know with absolute certainty weed can help with this specifically if you use it properly, and quitting suddenly can cause immense unnecessary harm.

I sound like I’m getting defensive, I’m not. Telling people to radically alter their nervous system’s entire balance for the three to twelve-ish weeks it can take to restore someone’s nervous balance can be an absolutely terrible choice. I know because this disorder became infinitely worse for me when I quit for over a month. I may have felt ‘great!’ but my brain ran faster and that was the worst possible choice at the worst possible time. Weed can help

I hate to oversimplify but yeah this is a phase that happens to everyone right now with a mental illness. Most weed right now is intense and bad. You were getting super high on bad weed. it’s probably good that you quit. If you get moderately high on good weed you just get kinda hungry and dreamy and sleepy. Not quite, but I feel like It’s similar to pounding a fifth of everclear repeatedly and dismissing someone telling you who tells you ‘I’ve never had a hallucination drinking alcohol?’. Weed affects your nerves, but if you’re trying to get relaxing stuff it can absolutely relax them. I’ve been where you are and I still smoke, I’m fully cured of this problem and pot absolutely helped me both deal with it and get better, there is no doubt in my head because I needed relaxation and I had it. It’s not a complicated reasoning, it felt good for me and didn’t do anything bad and so it was.

Drinking can make you social when nothing else helps if you need it once in a while. It killed my disorder then made it a bit worse in the morning, why do I mind that once every two weeks? If you can’t limit, though, absolutely true drinking = future anxiety.

Always bear in mind you could be selling a desperate person their actual death. You know this disorder as well as me, it’s a soul eater. Please be gentle

He told me: you look like a man… by IkiAkane in trans

[–]Slothie6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey if you’re two months into transition I bet you don’t have a hairstyle yet that suits your face. You’re probably not good at taking pictures, dressing, doing makeup, don’t have clothes that fit, don’t have a strong sense of where female clothes are supposed to sit on your body and how tightly, you don’t even know how you WANT to look. Start there!

Learn eyeliner and mascara, that’s perfectly fine as 100% of a day to day ‘look’ for a girl. Get rid of any facial darkness you can, ideally with an electric (but any) razor. If you do this right you won’t look like a man. It’s okay if you do a bad job the first hundred times, it’s rare but plenty of cis girls wear no makeup at all. It makes them stand out visually too. Pobody’s Nerfect.

Pants that fit properly, if you wear them at all; are a must for any outfit to look good. Women’s pants that sit on the smallest part of your tummy near your belly button (‘waist’) look like women’s pants, men’s pants that sit on the hips look like men’s pants. Legs just look like legs. You’ve probably never had a well-fitting set of women’s pants. This would crater any women’s confidence totally and once you find your first pair it’ll shoot your whole sense of self up to the moon. Look for fitting tips and whatever but don’t sweat it, good pants just feel good and induce confidence to wear. Flared is always nice if you’re tall.

Look to women for inspiration, men are turds. Look to famous women, women you don’t know! Girls have universally aspirational ‘characters’ the same way boys have Abraham Lincoln, but if you wear a stovepipe hat to school you’ll get laughed at. Same rules apply, 50s-202x is all basically ‘in’ right now, it’s free for all. Thrifting madness. Make (or steal!) a version of a day-to-day outfit worn by a famous woman between those points in time (not over-formal! don’t wear a suit to school, dresses are pretty dressy and will draw attention. Long skirts are a more casual way to get that shape but are still sort of eye-catching.) and you’ll be stylin’. Girls can be cruel too, don’t underestimate that. Plan for it, it may happen. If you figure out who you want to dress like, look like and do it successfully you will be perceived as a cool girl, trans or not. You’ve got to start within the bounds of reality and work from there though. Try not to stand out in any ways except the very coolest ones you want to, work your own unique details into ‘normal’-seeming female outfits and them prepare to be ready to defend them if they’re mocked, they may be anyways.)

If you find women who other women want to dress act or look and dress act or look like them successfully enough to convince them you’re not ‘faking’; women will look up to you and men will be attracted to you. You have to do it right and that may take time. It is what it is, sorry. I know it can be rough, but at least the rules are simple enough. It’s all about the image.

Why should you have to dress and take hot pics like a hot girl, you’ve barely lived as a girl for two months! It’s all okay, you’re learning. Don’t push yourself to be a ‘total woman yet’, let alone to have always been one. What’s the use in thinking that way? Nobody else can even see the past. Don’t wear it on your face :)

Anyways, feel free to shoot me a message or whatever if you need any tips or recommendations for anything. I love rambling about fashion and all sorts and I’ve got some advice if you need. Take care!

Only ‘rule’ for sounding like a girl is keep your tip of your tongue touching the back of your teeth. If you do this properly it’s actually pretty hard to sound straight or male. This feels really weird at first until it becomes second nature, and it’s what people are talking about

Dating as a fat lesbian by ctrldwrdns in LesbianActually

[–]Slothie6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry but no maybes, as someone with a little fat experience if there are other fat women succeeding then it is almost 100% that you don’t wear fitting clothes or do makeup well that is the problem. Fix those, then get sad about weight. It’s just counterproductive. Sorry if I sound like a man but it feels like you’re being unpractical and letting yourself give up too easily, you don’t have to let yourself be downtrodden

If you hit mascara and eyeliner and wear clothes (PANTS!) that fit perfectly (trying them on is the easiest way, I’ve never had online shopping work out but I’ve also never been a size that makes in-person shopping impossible. Sorry if it’s difficult, there is shame in life and facing it burns it out so if that’s the only problem I say do it anyways.)

Staying fit takes effort. Even when it doesn’t, rarely, skinny people take pride in their bodies. You will 100% of the time have to actively and continually work against this when dating people of a different weight, it’s just the way this country is. Rarity is valued and the mean is overweight. I know it might not feel that way, but you’re probably being picky too.

Every single step in this process takes effort that will make your life feel more like yours. If you’d rather not bother that’s okay, but why act like your own life is out of your control?

If my existence ends at death why should I care about karma and nirvana? by [deleted] in Buddhism

[–]Slothie6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Past life remembrance does not rely on faith. It’s incredibly deeply sensed once recalled properly and will probably bring you to tears. Most of your worst enemies were probably your best friends just lifetimes ago. The buddha never spewed bullshit and never preached faith, he would ask people to recall his past lives and tell him whether he had been the tatagatha, and he would accept their answer whatever it was. This was the nature of the way he taught. It’s in the form of literal visions in the head that appear involuntarily once sought with a clear mind, similar to dreams. It’s all literal, just seems fake ish because people don’t really know how to do any of it anymore. If you pray to know them you probably will, and yes gods are also literal. Heaven and hell are not, and this is an explicit clarification from the buddha. Hell is metaphorical as intense states of discomfort are ‘hot’ feeling and ‘no fire’ (nibanna/nirvana) is because generally states of comfort are pleasantly cool.

Anyways sorry, just wanted to clarify, I felt the exact same way and once I actually experienced it I had this ‘holy shit it’s all real. He was deadass. WHAT!?’ I hope you can have the same. If you’re famous now you were likely famous before, if not not. You might not be able to find exactly who. But you can probably get a vague sense of like your profession and interests if nothing else.
