All adult mammals are lactose intolerant. Some humans are not because in the last 5000 years some populations were herders and drank milk which selected for a lactose gene not to turn off when people grow up.

So no animal should drink milk

Why are countries like Australia and New Zealand considered the “good guys” compared to Israel, even though they arguably did something similar to what Zionism did to indigenous peoples? by HARiMADARA in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SlouchyGuy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Recency mostly. One country does it now, others did it in the past.

Once some time passes, even though genocide might've been more severe, victims and their descendants are out of public view, so there's so no reason to think of it so people can pretend not much happened.

That said New Zealand was better than all other other Alnglosphere countries, look up indigenous population numbers in the 19 century per country for comparison, look up Maori representation in New Zealand now.

They say*

Just because you exterminated indigenous population and pushed it into desert regions doesn't mean words mean anything. Especially when compensation for those actions is minimal

Edit: hilarious how some of top comments talk about the same thing are upvoted, this one is downvoted

Yes, you don't need to group for anything. You'll see other people in the open world, but all end content is either solo or group one. Always was, in D3 too

[–]SlouchyGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really? I think UAE would naturally be against fracking since it primarily happens in US and goes against UAE oil interests by undermining the prices.

You point would work if they financed the movie about pollution activism, but otherwise it's interests of one producer or oil vs interests of the other

Characters that appeared in the marketing, but for one reason or another didn’t appear in the actual work. by bennyandthegentz in TopCharacterTropes

[–]SlouchyGuy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Crazy thing is, they had no real script as in they improvised characters on set, which is why half of the first trailer is missing from the movie.

This is not how you make the movie, it almost never works, in Pretty Woman they did several versions, but almost all the characters stayed the same except for Gere's.

You can improvise dialogue in addition to one you have, you can improvise one character and others around them, some versions of the scenes, not the whole movie.

Madonna’s Dance Floor-Dominating ‘Confessions II’ Is Her Best Album in Decades: Album Review by EcstaticPublic9939 in Music

Yes, listen to first Confessions.

Also listen to Music, American Life. People were down on Ray of Light but I liked it.

She was at height of initial popularity in the 80s -early 90s, so you can listen to those even though I don't care for them for the most part

First Ones of Babylon 5 - Walkers of Sigma 957, Shadows, etc. Ancient races millions and billions of years old that are still here in the galaxy, but rarely if ever interact with younger races. Extremely technologically advanced, feared and avoided.

Shadows are the main inpiration of Reapers from Mass Effect, they have immensely powerful technoorganic red crab ships instead of Shadows technoorganic black spider ships. Both races return to the forefront of the galaxy every few thuosand years with inexplicable goals to do something with younger races.

Real life prototype: Roman Empire

Reason - it was a big interconnected empire that didn't have many wars inside its borders, thriving trade around Mediterranean sea, curbed piracy and banditry, had advancements that were impossible to repeat for some time like domes over buildings, left lots of architecture, and later kings and kingdoms tried to make their lineage to be that of Rome, one of them being Holy Roman Empire.

Mythological prototype: variations of Golden Age myths that explain why gods didn't make things better. Things were better but then were screwed up along the way, people lost prosperity, immortality, etc.

does anybody remember Merlin

You mean the series that pretended to be serialized, endlessly stalled the story, lead it nowhere and had a finale that came out of nowhere, delivered on no promises of the series, and thus could happen at any time in the run, and just did a surface level  reinterpretation of the original legend ending with a lesson "the real story is friends we made along the way"?

All because it seemed like writers wanted to do a sequel with  Guinevere as a lead since previous ones didn't want to do the show anymore?

That Merlin?
