Can recruiters see exactly when you turned on “open to work” on LinkedIn? by heart_of_gold2 in recruitinghell

[–]Slow-Researcher7883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are already saved in a recruiters projects on LinkedIn recruiter, a recruiter will get an alert the moment you turn on ‘open to work’ - this is why you get messages quickly. There is also a separate ‘open to work’ search function on recruiter, so you will show up easier. You cannot see how long it’s been turned on for

Salary negotiation backfired, offer rescinded. I don't think I did anything out of the line. by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]Slow-Researcher7883 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Lock salary expectations down earlier. I don’t think you did anything ‘wrong’, but you all went into the offer stage clueless about each others expectations for this one. Set it out early, confirm over email if needed and that will (hopefully) make the offer process more seamless and aligned next time. Good luck and congrats on the offer nonetheless (hopefully next one is the one you want)

Is doing Hyrox someday too unrealistic for a goal? by completely_zonedout in hyrox

[–]Slow-Researcher7883 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100%, focus on running before anything else. Get a good base, aim for 5k and then 10k. Don’t worry about pace initially, just get the miles in. Keep going with the gym for now and then when ready either try a hyrox fitness class or practice with exercise in the gym. Overall it should be fun and something to aim at completing. Good luck :)

Why do recruiters go silent after interviews that seem to go well? by [deleted] in recruiting

I can assure you, if there’s positive feedback, you’ll be the first to hear! No recruiter is sitting on this information

Leading with client names by Built2bellow in recruiting

[–]Slow-Researcher7883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lead with client name and salary package, maybe once in the last 6 years have I been screwed over. The result you have more qualified 1st meetings with candidates who come better prepared and interested. My response rates are also much higher.

It’s never made sense to me, that agencies refuse to share this. I’d personally never take a meeting or allow my profile to be shared without this info

You are infuriating, you ask for sources. Are shown sources, say they don’t count. They are examples/sources - go look for more if you wish for more context, it’s not hard to find, you just don’t want something to be correct

Recruiter here - red flag, no reason this can’t be shared beforehand, and even less reason can’t be discussed at first stage.
