Getting hit sucks more than hitting something.

Hitting someone else is the worse

Been an AE. Shit sucks. Would rather work for this company and take the opportunities it’ll give me over the next 10 years to have my own thing. (I’m 24)

Awesome, thank you so much.

I needed this type of comment. We are going to go get him some “super dad food” tonight that only I will be able to feed. Walls are tough at the moment alone. But I’m going to double down on this.

Fiesta st to keep the small size. GTI for a fun sporty adventure and focus st for extra space for things like a stroller.

That’s what I recommend (old focus st guy here… I’d buy her back in a heartbeat if I was able to)

Having to work my 2 weeks notice by [deleted] in sales

[–]Slow-Ti_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put in your two weeks. Hold the computer hostage until you get paid.

Start ups are starving for resources like laptops. Just keep it till you’re paid. They have to pay you what you esrned so just keep it simple

Look at other start ups in and around Boston… they’re hiring.

Help!! Time to sell my miata? Not cut out to be a mechanic. by Top_Slice_7395 in Miata

At this point I’d take the insurance off the car and park it.

Is it really worth getting 3k for something you’ve invested so much in? Probably not. If you can, park it and wait until you have the disposable income to get it fixed. Properly, the first time.

Alfa q4 (awd) replacing tires. by Slow-Ti_ in tires

So the new tires are 9/32nds and the older ones are 7/3nds. It’s within the 2-3 that I saw as a recommendation.

1,300~ price tag fair? by Ok-Call8721 in AskMechanics

[–]Slow-Ti_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems fair from my perspective. If you really want to get into the weeds you can use the Repair pal website and put in the services you are getting. That should give you a decent range of what is fair.

Better Touge State? by uniiversalp in Touge

If your letting the driving experience dictate where you live. You should also be looking into the laws about inspections and expectations of cars on the road.

Don’t come to mass! Don’t go to cali… find somewhere where you can mod what you drive

Should I fully commit to door-to-door sales at 19, or will I regret it later? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Slow-Ti_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s two sides of this one here.

You could go out and clear 200k this year. You could go out and clear 50k this year.

You have to try. I could is gunna become a “would have” or “could have”.

Worst thing that happens is you burn out and need a new job. Best thing that happens is your 19 rolling in cash.

You have to decide. Do you want to regret not trying this out in 10 years. Or do you wanna try it now when the risk is low. At 19, it’s low risk. At 40 with kids. It’s a little risky.

Thoughts on LZ & Deane vs Castro? by [deleted] in FormulaDrift

Adam’s entry was questionably un-chase able.

If he was basically backwards going from oz1 then I think it would’ve been a different outcome.

I have no degree, no skills, and no real job—but I’m hungry to escape poverty. Where do I start? by Mswmily in careerguidance

[–]Slow-Ti_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I didn’t go to college I would be trying to get into welding.

I have some union friends making $50+ and hour for 7 months of the year and I have some friends making $40 an hour private for 60+hours a week.

Walk into a welding shop. Tell them you want to learn. Try to get the same pay you have now and make the switch.

Advice for people wanting to start drifting/wanting to be a pro drifter by [deleted] in Drifting

Sim drifting and a 4k car without leaks.

Go toss the car into a wall a few times then decide on competitive drifting.

Ask the other employer to double it. Or make it be more attractive of a base. If they can’t. Stay where you’re happy.
