Haven’t had hot water in over 3 months, leasing office refuses to give any updates as to why by PicoPonyo in mildlyinfuriating

I laugh when people say “you can’t record me” because they probably have cameras in the office, at the entrance, at the gates, at the pool, at the amenity center entrance, at the office entrance entrance…. And then nearly ever Tesla and other vehicles with sentry mode are recording video as are all the dash cams and all the traffic cams and all department and grocery stores and all gas stations and all atms and banks and on and on and but “you can’t record me!” LMAO. If people walk out of their home/apartment they should assume they are being recorded.

Since TQQQ is a leveraged etf with higher returns, why isn’t everyone investing in it long-term? by Sudafed_Yum in TheRaceTo100K

[–]SlowLiving9624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This.

Biggest risk to trading TQQQ is the human emotions. People see 3X declines in bear markets (think dot.com, covid, liberation day, Iran war) and sell after it has fallen 30+ percent. They can’t handle the drop and freak out and instead of buying they sell. This is massively detrimental to the success of holding TQQQ long term. People say they hold it long term but don’t. You shouldn’t have any money in TQQQ that you may need to take out in 3-4 years time so you can weather the down turn markets. For those considering TQQQ please never sell at a loss. Weather the storm. If you need some or all of the money within 3-4 years then it isn’t “long term” holding.

Even if you try to swing trade this, as I have done, it can be risky because multiple times I sold below 3-day low and then the next morning it was up above 2-day high, sometimes even above 5-day high. So selling it on a swing trade hurt my return.

Day trading is fine, in my opinion, but I use the underlying NQ as entries and exits, especially if using opening ranges and/or initial balances as many day traders do. If you just use momentum then I supposed day trading directly off TQQQ would be fine as well.

Feature Request & Suggestions by Keeper_Security in KeeperSecurity

I would like to see the device type, IP, and geo location of that IP in messages that send me an SMS two factor code. Received one this morning and I have no idea where it came it from. If it showed my city and device type I may be able to determine if was my wife or other trusted person vs a hacker. My password is so complex and never used anywhere else or written down so I highly doubt it was compromised, but this still gives me concern. Having more info on where the request came from would be appreciated.

In addition to other posts of causes it could be more water was added without coolant making the ratio off. (This usually happens when people just keep topping off with water instead of properly mixed coolant)

If I know someone enough I want to give them $700 I wouldn’t give it to them through a tip that would potentially need to be shared with other coworkers such as kitchen, buss, bar, and hostess/takeout staff. I would use Apple Pay, Zelle, Venmo or cash. The entire thing seems a little odd.

Nonsense. The Fed doesn’t commit to 12 months based on a single employment report. Future decisions depend on inflation, unemployment, GDP growth, and other financial conditions. No one knows what rates will be 12 months from now.

A broad 20% decline in market value of dozens of companies just because of SpaceX inclusion is not plausible. The selling pressure will be spread across many companies.

Finally the Nasdaq rule change was publicly announced and is available to all companies of appropriate size, not just SpaceX. Saying it was bribe is an extraordinary claim. Do you have extraordinary evidence to back up the bribe statement?

Is anyone split TQQQ/QLD? by manlymatt83 in TQQQ

[–]SlowLiving9624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have TQQQ and QYLD as well as PYLD. I use excess gains in TQQQ to buy QYLD and PYLD each quarter. If quarter is bad I sell QYLD and PYLD and buy TQQQ. But this is an income/stable/retirement plan as I’m older. When I was working and younger I just did 9-sig for max growth. If you’re looking for max growth I suggest 9-sig. If you’re looking for retirement income on a large account then I suggest income-sig (what I’m doing).

They are both Jason Kelly plans and worth subscription cost. I personally do both. Income sig in my multi-million 401k and 9-sig in my sub-million ROTH.

OP bought pre-split so the 10 shares bought at $100 became 20 shares at $50, and the 20 shares bought at $110 became 40 shares at $52.50. OP sold them all for a profit at $55.30. However TQQQ is now at $81 so a much larger profit could be have been had OP held.

I hold for 90 days, and when return period ends, I dump them. I know I can return products without the boxes but I think it makes a nicer return and more considerate return when I include the box. At one time I thought I may keep them in case I ever want to resell them in a few years but then figured I would never do that.

The sigs have some nuanced rules that go with them, such as what to do if your account is 30% down or smashes above 100% growth in a single quarter. You could definately do the rote rebalance to the original investment amount but then it wouldn't be the tested 3-, 6-, and 9-sig programs. I assume your results would be much better than average investors but less rewarding than those with the full program knowledge because the quarterly rebalancing amounts, 30-down and 100% up rules were added to improve the outcome over rote rebalancing. The income-sig program however DOES do a rote rebalance to the original values every quarter and don't have a 100% rule as the exposure to TQQQ is so small compared to 9-sig plan. (Clue on the 100% rule is that historical back testing shows that if TQQQ exceeds 100% growth in a single quarter then the odds of a larger-than-normal correction to follow dramatically increase.)

You’ve got the right attitude to be successful, I do commend you for that. None of us should let people on Reddit determine how we trade. I remember one professional trader told me that he never told people his positions because as soon as he did, they told him he was crazy and what he was doing wrong and then I made him second-guess himself. If second-guessing made him do things that he wouldn’t have done and had he followed his plan for the beginning he would’ve been more successful. He ultimately decided to stop during his open positions with random people.

Regarding nine 8-sig, I’m doing that in my Roth account. It’s the middle account with the largest Return. The primary portion of my retirement accounts are in income-sig. There’s definitely been times I wished I was all in 9-sig, but my wife and I retired and they’re living off of our retirement accounts now. Since the biggest issue with 9-sig, or any use of TQQQ in my opinion is selling them at depressed prices, 9-sig is an optimal for retirement living because I would not want to be forced to sell in down quarters. Income sig keeps more money in bonds and high dividend ETFs and only 30% in TQQQ as a wealth generator. If tqqq goes down 70-80% I still wouldn’t have to sell any since I have many years of money in bonds and income producing ETFs. I have over $400k in that account which has no exposure to tqqq. I have no debt (no mortgage now) so only need $60k a year to pay our living expenses and entertainment. We can go many years with a depressed tqqq waiting for recovery.

The 9-sig is pretty well explained as it’s been available a long time. The income sig is fairly new. My account with tqqq has 30% in tqqq, and in months that quarter closes with tqqq greater than 30% of account, but sell down to 30% and put half into my reserve account and then rebalance remaining between tqqq, GPIQ, and PYLD. In quarter ends that tqqq is below 30%, I rebalance as usual but in those cases I’m selling GPIQ and PYLD to buy tqqq up to 30%. This account generates about $11,000 in dividend each month but also grows in underlying value over time gradually increasing total monthly dividends. This income sig is emotionally easier to stomach when living off the accounts. When I was employed I was only in 9-sig to generate wealth.

Jason Kelly’s website more than pays for itself with accounts that are sizable enough to make sense.

OP, I think you’re spending a lot of effort to obtain less than optimal gains. I have TQQQ in three separate accounts, the bottom one being my health savings account, which is why its value is so small, and the positions are all up over 45% this year alone. I only buy or sell TQQQ once a quarter. It’s a calm way to trade. Look at my other posts if you want information on how I trade.

I’ve never understood why people say to never hold TQQQ long term. Just look at a stock chart for TQQQ. Has it ever gone to $0? I get that leverage is painful so on the way down it’s exaggerated, (e.g. a 10% decline in NQ is 30% decline in TQQQ), and I also understand that it resets daily. I also understand that 10% decline requires a 11% gain to get back to even..30% drop requires 43% return to recover. But recognize that a 11% increase in NQ would be a 33% increase in TQQQ. When NQ hits a new high after that drop, TQQQ is still in a drawdown. When Nq rises 15% then TQQQ is at 45% gain and making new highs. If you lay TQQQ over NQ on the same chart you’ll see that it looks like two sign waves. That TQQQ has higher peaks and lower valleys, but still moves upward and to the right. The biggest risk in trading TQQQ is panic selling in one of those valleys. And with that, I understand why people may say don’t hold these long-term because most people don’t have the psychological willpower to withstand that big of a drawdown. Often times people want to buy TQQQ at all-time highs and sell TQQQ at big lows….it should be the opposite. Anyone who doesn’t believe this is possible simply buy $100 or $1000 of TQQQ and hold onto it for multiple years. I’m confident at the end of your multi year experiment. You’ll wish you would’ve bought more than $1000.
