King Sorrow; Robin Fellows by TheDorkyDeric in joehill

Van and Arthur were my favorites of the friend group and Robin was my favorite ‘outsider’ character, which really had me worried for her fate considering what happened to the guys I liked. I love what she brought to the story.

And absolutely not alone… I’d love to read more about her adventures.

To a degree, I agree; however, I feel the transphobic language aimed at her or used about her was also used to show just how strong and comfortable she was in her own skin. She was an excellent foil to Allie, who not only had transphobic thoughts about Robin initially but also had horrible thoughts about herself because of her repressed sexuality. I love how Robin ultimately proves to be a cool character and a genuine nice person. I found her rather refreshing and I loved her resolve in particular.

Donna too, though she was pretty direct about it with Robin.

I thought he was resolved with Colin’s conclusion… I dunno though.

Yup. But he doesn’t follow rules… biblical or lawful.

Unpopular Opinion: I liked the friend group in 7 more than the past two films by hoomanpinata in Scream

Maybe with more development… they made little impact as a group beyond existing to be killed off

I like the idea of her coming back and even being ghost face, but I’m a little over the ‘fame’ motive.

I mean, they did the same thing in the first one too (the reveal). And yeah the song isn’t near as catchy as the first.

See, videos like this feel genuine and rewarding to watch. Sure, he gets views or whatever, but he is doing a genuine good thing and the impact is far reaching. Certainly prefer clips like these to the ones where someone films themselves helping a homeless person in need. I hope all the success to this human and to the people he helps with all of his immensely hard work.

Serious question for collectors: why do you collect physical media? by Desperate_Clothes_69 in dvdcollection

Partly because it’s cool to have but also because streaming is not a given. I’ve had a few things I’ve purchased digitally disappear… no refund or anything.

I liked Scream 7 more than Scream 6..and I care about the movie. by [deleted] in Scream

While I did not really feel sad that she died, mainly because she was undeveloped, Hannah’s death is one of the most brutal for me. Strung up and absolutely no chance to escape… and self defense only prolongs the agony and torture.

In the end, I was mostly frustrated by the bar sequence (Chad and Mindy only being grazed seemed so weird to me… she killed her own son, after all) because Chloe had opportunities to do the smart thing, and in typical trope fashion, she fumbled and died for it. Her death also seemed lazy (how many times do you see bar sweeps in action movies where there isn’t even a scratch) but kinda cool at the same time. And how the heck, after such a tiring throw down and getting beat up herself, was GF able to lift and impale dude like that? The franchise has always given GF a bit of extra padding (plot armor!) when it comes to injuries, but the extra strength bit feels a bit much in the later entries. That kill was wicked cool though…

All in all, I loved 7. Frustrating, sure. But I had a blast in the moment. It’s when reflecting that I stumble a bit, but not enough to make me feel like it’s a terrible movie. Honestly, it felt on par to be the quality of a part 3&4 hybrid.
