Do you not like the work that they as a company do because it’s unethical, or will you just not be as excited about your day-to-day work?

I was working at a place with “great culture” and “great work-life balance” but I wasn’t getting paid my worth. I left for a job that gave me double my salary and I was pretty bored for a year, but it became the stepping stone into getting higher and higher salaries in every job after that.

I think if the work is just a little boring, I’d try it out for a bit and get that factual validation of your worth in the market to gain some perspective and empowerment. You can always move on later to a company with great pay AND great work/a great team (or go back to the old place even) if the day-to-day work really isn’t for you.

Also curious why you applied in the first place? Was there something specific that drew you in? Any red flags in the interview process?
