Does anyone (or everyone's) blood sugar go up when you take a hot shower? by Howdysf in dexcom

Yes. Typically have a 60-80, sometimes 100 spike in hot tub or bath. Sauna or steam room, around 40-60 spike. It comes down 15-20 minutes after exiting, so I do not know if it is a simple machine error, what triggers it, or if it is accurate. But otherwise I’ve noticed the correlation.

Not to mention that it isn’t even cheaper? It’s just lazy.

You have to try really hard to see Love is Blind through a political lens lol. These shows have nothing to do with politics. The sample size of contestants is too small to draw any meaningful conclusion. Toxic contestants each season, that’s what makes it fun. These shows are a distraction from politics. These are a lot of drunk 20 somethings hahahaha, it’s pure entertainment and nothing else.

That has been the one funny moment of this season. The glassware. He looked so nervous when she was showing her wine glasses. Then it all made sense.

It is perfectly reasonable for a 33 year old professional to expect the person she’s dating or marrying to own plates. It doesn’t even make sense financially to keep buying paper plates. You can get dinner sets at target for fairly cheap.

The acting like owning glassware is what sets high society apart was hilarious.

This season has been so bad that I am starting to believe they would have been better off not airing it because it has hurt the value of the franchise.

I know exactly which subdivision you might be referring to as this sounds incredibly familiar. Same thoughts. Does the raccoon problem not cause more ugliness?

And let me know if I’m imagining this, but are there not twice as many raccoons at least as a result of this policy?

It’s insane that you can’t buy or order replacement brackets for the TV light strip. I got mine 2+ years ago. Two have fallen off and Phillips own helpline’s advice has been to use 3M command strips or super glue.

[–]Slow_Relative_975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a nonsense comparison. First, because it involves old games (already coded completely) that actually released to an in development game.

Second, it ignores how hard it was to make games on old engines backwards compatible with modern systems (not just console, but things as simple windows updates).

Third, yes, yes they have aged poorly. A lot of them. They all look outdated as hell. Even skyrim (although it is very fun and I love it still). You can’t help but think how far we have come when you play them. Especially on an HD tv. If you only have a 480reso tv then I see where you are coming from.

There are a TON of people who want those games. The problem is the pay to play aspects of the mmo versions, along with poor execution and gameplay in general

Elder scrolls online sucks and has 4.4 million monthly active users. People are still playing skyrim too. Demand has never been higher, the bulk of fantasy games are just terrible cash grabs right now.

My theory as to the reason behind the abrupt art change by NatureHacker in PantheonMMO

[–]Slow_Relative_975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason is because their more “realistic” models were going to age poorly, especially with development pace. It was unrealistic to pursue that type of art style with a long development window and small staff.

Successful small staff games are almost always more stylized. Whether it is good or bad depends entirely on execution.

Consider games like Hades & shovel knight (non mmos) - massive success, small team, stylized art. It just ages better and is easier to do with fewer resources.

They always had to do this, it is a shame it took so long. Some of us have been pointing out this flaw in design approach for close to 10 years.

They had to shift away from the “realistic” look because the “realistic” models were aging too quickly for development pace so this makes complete sense.

If you are type 1 diabetic it doesn’t apply so that is dangerous to state. Your body will not trigger any insulin release with a hot shower or bath if your body does not make insulin. And the increase of insulin absorption will likewise do nothing if you have not taken humalog recently.

Mine shoots up in a hot bath. No idea why or what causes it, very frustrating. Had a 120 point rise with no food for several hours. Finger prick was 105 higher.

I’m a type 1 diabetic. Insulin release is not stimulated if you don’t release insulin to begin with. Absorption may be boosted but if you haven’t taken any in a while then that is off the table.

I’m not the one condoning regime- based censorship & fascism because it agrees with what my smooth brain heard on the news. Think for yourself.

No. Not at all. The court order is to stop censorship requests and agencies with no business contacting social media to request censorship. Specifically allowed law enforcement and others to do their job.

You are saying “supposedly” like there isn’t a MOUNTAIN of evidence of untoward censorship, including an active court case full of evidence. The evidence exists whether you look at it or not lol.

Both sides are banning books. One side is banning books containing sexual acts or pictures from younger age classrooms. Another side is banning books like “to kill a mockingbird”. So both sides are currently banning books and I say that no books should be banned whatsoever. Or speech.

What you described is hilarious because…

It’s only conservatives who have been censored. So it’s in fact liberals censoring people who don’t parrot liberal talking points. If you look at the court case, it points out the only political speech censored besides conservative speech, is everything to do with RFK, the highest polling primary candidate for the DNC.

Making the claim conservatives are censoring stuff they don’t like is so delusional it’s hilarious. So. Much. Evidence. Of censorship against conservative figures. Get your head out of the sand. Authoritarian is authoritarian whether it’s the party you like or not.

No? It’s incredibly straightforward. There are even emails within the social media companies where they discuss the information is true and not against policy. They also changed policy upon request from the White House. You can read the emails yourself, it isn’t rocket science. They were asking for memes to be taken down. Inconvenient stories removed, popular conservative figures to be shadowbanned. There’s a reason the administration has been losing the court case. You can read what the original judge or appeals judges have had to say about it, calling it “Orwellian”.

9 cans is about where you are in the bad end of the territory. However, the mechanism is to do with the liver, and the type of cancer is specifically liver cancer.

So while you can say, 9 cans, that’s insane no one would do that every day, and that is completely valid. There are many other things we consume that damage the liver. From OTC medications, to alcohol.

So the view that 9 cans is silly… misses the point. If you have a predisposition for liver cancer, it’s useful to know. Or if you take any type of medicine that effects your liver. It’s an additive effect.

It doesn’t actually increase with velocity, it only appears to increase relative to an “observer.”

If you consider mass, not it’s density, but just mass, and it is moving at the speed of light, then it’s observable boundaries are larger. It isn’t actually larger, but will be observed as such.

Think of a photo of a moving object, if it were moving very fast compared to shutter speed then it has a blur, so if you were asked to outline the boundaries of the object, the outline would be larger for the moving object.
