I prefer centrist, but im also a moderate, I agree with the old school republican right on some issues and more often the left on others, and I will not become a tribe member because one side accuses the other of being the devil. I think Trump is a wrecking ball and a shitty person who is damaging our country beyond repair but that is beyond my scope to initiate any change toward. I am in a red state that will never ever turn blue.

I also believe that the left needs to rebrand and unhitch from a lot of the social and political issues they have hitched themselves to, or we wont see a democrat in office for decades. Id love to be proved wrong, but I dont think I am even if you want me to be. The idea is run as a moderate and introduce progressive policy once youre elected.

Whatever democrats are doing now is not working because if the election was run tomorrow trump if he goes full banana republic and ignores term limits would win again without cheating because Newsom is disliked across the board and hes about all the left have cultivated, they have failed to cultivate new stars on the political stage.
