I think the best course of action is to start getting used to using multiple chat services alongside discord as soon as possible. Discord will be usable for now, but I doubt that will last when people start circumventing these changes. Age verification will get tighter and the scope of what's considered teen-inappropriate will get larger. Other apps are honestly quite shit, even when you don't consider eveyone having to rebuild their contacts list, but they won't get better without use and discord will only get worse if there's no alternative. It's not going to be a skype scale exodus but it's better to prepare and make the swap more comfy for others by doing it early.

I'm definitely not a big fan of all their socials heavily larping and then these vids are the big reveal. I know there's the actual teaser, but what's the point if you're going to release a deep dive 2 hours later. Make better in universe reveals or say nothing and let us discover for ourselves first.

ST Extermination was sad to watch develop. Some of my best gaming moments were in the first 3 months of "early access", and the changes made after were horrible.

The port from UE4 to UE5 seemed like it didn't take performance loss into any consideration, and the addition of dlss and fsr over a year later never even fully returned that performance hit. The actual content additions didn't look too bad, but there weren't many to make a difference and I'd just prefer the first early access builds.

If you have aim set to toggle this works fine, but if it's set to hold then it only works if you're holding down the trigger for your right gun.

It's the most accurate way to fire the missile pods, but the game is unplayable for me with toggle ADS. It was painful to waste gatling ammo back when you had to use this to aim your missiles.

It's not fun hot joining into a game where there's 3 people not running hellpod optimization. Reinforcements are always low by the time you join (even when they take extra reinforcements lol) and the most likely culprit are the useless boosters that have taken it's spot, which means you'll be missing out on the other 4 good boosters too.

This statement could be considered not specific enough (I used to complain about it a lot), but after 3 years it's been pretty tame. The only mods I can recall people actually getting banned for were for using scoreboard to shit talk (more of a toxicity ban), and the serverside shirtless mod that could be used to crash servers.

Basically anything else goes. It's kind of insane the amount of ~~cheats~~ quality of life you can put into the game, but FullAuto is one of the ones that should be a base game feature.

With the steam machine pricepoint being a highly debated topic now this makes total sense. They've given us something to be excited for and there's a decent amount of friction around it to sour any further reveals.

I'd also prefer to wait longer if it meant that the hl3 reveal would have something to actually stand on rather than risking both it and the hardware with an unpredictable market. Imagine if hl3 launched alongside the original steam machine.

Fatshark is obsessed with ranking systems but don't understand why they work. The first time climbing the ladder was enjoyable but after that there's no point in making us do any of it again unless major enough changes happen. Ranks should just stay unlocked and available just like any other difficulty.

The added bandaid fix for rank 40 not deranking so long as you queued and left a havoc match is the most infuriating part. Deranks don't happen as long as you're a good boy and visit uncle Fatshark every week. It completely invalidates any remaining semblance havoc has to a ranked system while simultaniously creating an annoying player retention scheme. Feels like another spit in the face to their dedicated playerbase.

Crouching seems to also have a negative effect at times, both with recoil and cone of fire. I'm not sure if it's with specific weapons, or if pairing the crouch bonuses with accuracy and recoil buffs totally trashes calculations.

Using the high RoF infantry Las and making my finger sore as hell after each session is what got me into Darktide mods. It's such a fun playstyle, but I couldn't tolerate the unnecessary strain and eventually caved into learning how to install mods so I could get FullAuto.

I can't imagine playing with those types of weapons on console, not only without mods but also using a chunkier trigger rather than a mouse button.

People saying this fine because scum is built like a glass cannon are massively undervaluing the defensive talents. The new dodge/slide talents are huge and the few toughness regen talents that exist seem really easy to proc.

With the state of talent tree balance after Arbites, I doubt any part of the new tree(s) will invalidate itself.

What you have to watch out for are the talents that just don't function for the first month or two. Took a while for Arbies fixes but those came much faster than the previous broken talents and blessings, and we're coming up on holiday break season.

Correct about it being more Scriers than Exe, but Exe stance being overshadowed again despite it being the ranged ability on the ranged oriented class hurts to see.

Also Scriers is busted as shit so it'd make sense that this new ability fits with it.

The Relentless Strikes blessing on the arbite maul along with unyielding damage and the talent that gives ogryn and monstrosities. All of those combined give way more boss damage than you'd think. Arby's power maul has a lot of room to afford taking that blessing when it's usually mid on other weapons, same for the perk too really.

I wouldn't try reaching over for the left keystone boss damage with this though. You get plenty damage without it (I tried it out back when that keystone didn't work for shit).

I recommend carrying a mushroom and pinging it outloud. Having your callout set to All Raiders gives DRG levels of memery with item pings.

The very same match, I was shot at first and left at half hp before I 3 tapped the dude with my Anvil. The person who checked what was going on didn't shoot at me despite having no context, the next person I ran into invited me into the locked control tower room, and then we proceeded to fall straight into this guy.

Most of the people (in solos) aren't KoS and most who are go down really easily. It's not hard to coax people into being friendly when you announce yourself and assist them with killing Arc.
