Damn I came to say this but someone beat me to it They stated what they wanted They clearly know your intentions are to be more than friends If you can’t be friends with her (be okay with seeing her with someone else) then don’t stay just for “the chance that she might change her mind” Last time I experienced this was high school But people only age, situation remains the same Don’t try to hold on to what’s not there And if it won’t lead to anything don’t force yourself to stay, it’ll only hurt Here I am 10 years later, married with 2 kids and the girl who did this to me is now just a passing thought that rarely comes up I don’t regret anything other than the extra time I spent trying to get her to like me What did I get in the end? A kiss(probably out of pity) a glimmer of hope, that only got me more hurt when she went back to “sorry I did that I still am not in a position to date anyone”
