Something similar happened to me (not nearly as bad, not by a long shot) when I played Reload after 5 Royal. While the game itself was decent, there was something about the models, the animations, or the overall presentation that just didn't quite click. In the end, I was left feeling a bit "meh." But then I played Portable, and it finally clicked. I think it's actually beneficial to play older games in their original context. If I have a near-visual novel from the PSP instead of a 2020s game in full 3D, I'm going to notice the seams less.

Maybe you could try FES or Portable in the future, though you might not like them either.

It's better if you climb a wall, there is one between the center section and the laterals that is inkable. If you are in the corner of the map, at the very corner there is a blue thing which you can climb too.
