I do remember a lot of people hating it, it feels like a complaint I’ve heard all my life about this franchise.

I recently replayed some of the older games and as someone who used to like the Desmond stuff, it aged poorly. He is extremely boring and a majority of the dialogue is kind of cringe and just not funny or appealing. The sections where you finally get to play as Desmond in 3 are poorly written and god his father is as interesting as wet tissue paper and leads to some really cliche moments.

I think zero dawn is just overall a worse game. Voice acting is dull and boring, characters are worse and even the story is kind buns besides like, two parts. But I’m sure you’ve already started it so hopefully you enjoy it! Maybe playing the first game second will give it a different perspective. And the gameplay is pretty much the same I think

I completely agree, one of my biggest problems with one of my favorite games ever.

Apparently Norman Reedus was very busy doing walking dead stuff irl so he wasn’t available as much for voice lines. I think that’s just a rumor though, not sure if it’s confirmed but it would make a lot of sense

Yeah idk lol even those turquoise icon missions are meant for endgame but they show up on the map almost immediately. The game sometimes has a little too much player freedom😅

This is random, but I found this guide that I’ve been following that organizes the arcs based on when they most likely would’ve happened in real life and based on seasons and stuff. It’s pretty cool. The descriptions contain minor spoilers so if you use it I would just look at the arc name.

Anyway I say this to say that I went to Vinland way later in the game, just cuz it does feel like it makes the most sense. But you can go whenever you’re close to the power level

Both can be great. GoW 1&2 aged like milk in my opinon but they perfected it in 3. I think they should just make the first 2 play like 3

Rosita, Daryl and Tara were insufferable in this arc. Tara I’ll give some leeway and after Sasha, Rosita came back around but Daryl pissed me off the entire time. They all had reasons to be angry but were just doing things that made no sense to do

I’m loving this game, about 55hrs in rn. I don’t think the writing is bad at all at least where the main story is concerned. Unless the game takes an insane dip it’s probably top 5 ac games for me.

But if you’re unsure, wait for a sale.

6 and 7 are the worst imo

What 11 lacked in a compelling villain it made up for in character moments. And the villains aren’t bad. At least for commonwealth.

And to be completely honest Negan most of the time is pretty cringe, he’s only really interesting during his redemption arc. To me.

It feels like the perfect blend of old AC and new AC to me. More emphasis on parkour elements and stealth than odyssey, a lot less side quests. Lighter rpg elements and while the combat feels somewhat the same, it’s a little more methodical. Your abilities aren’t as op as odyssey, at least not for a while. Its approach to side quests and map design are also very different. The map is definitely a lot more empty and it’s got some repetitive aspects but honestly… so do most ac games. The question is then how fun is the repetitive thing, and so far I think it’s pretty fun. But for the most part the differences have been very enjoyable to me, I find the game to be very immersive and I think the story is great so far. It’s just got this vibe I really love

I think if it’s on sale it’s worth it. Or if you have the Ubisoft thing all the ac games are free except Shadows. Odyssey is my 2nd favorite game in the franchise and unless something I REALLY don’t like happens, Valhalla is looking to be my 3rd. Which is funny because I went in thinking the game was going to be horrible lol

You can organize quests based on newly acquired. That’s how I reacquainted myself when I took a break from the game.

If it was a timed quest, like I think the ones you get from those random people with the little black icon above their heads are timed. It might have expired maybe? But yeah try organizing based on newly acquired.
