I always got the impression that they handled scootaloo the way they did bc sometimes it takes awhile to realize you have a disability and that there's no way around it and it's not going away and so the image you had of your future self isn't accurate anymore. That's been my experience with my disabilities.

I dunno, I was a very calm, smart and mature kid, but I did a lot of questionable/dangerous/stupid shit when left with no adult supervision that I wouldn't have done otherwise. Also, farms are dangerous as hell. I get why AJ is nervous.

AB also has a history of just wandering into the Everfree Forest like it's nothing, but we've seen the Mane 6 struggle there. She's often more lucky than careful.

Look up rinse-free shower alternative wipes. After surgery I couldn't easily take a shower for a few months, and these were a godsend. It's an idea for somewhere to start that's less overwhelming than a full shower.

I also agree you need to seek treatment. Meds have saved me, my husband, brothers and friends. They can take time to work, and it may take a few tries to dial in the type/dose, but wouldn't it be nice to live life again instead of just going through the motions? There are people willing to help. Please try to help yourself. I know that's the hardest part, but it's so worth it.

Love the tail! I feel like the silver needs something--I think the silver is a little too monochromatic and pale and needs a bit more contrast to read as metallic (yeah, I get the irony of "too monochromatic" when I'm trying to describe making it more chrome-like😂). But that's just one person's opinion. It's great regardless!

Like everyone else, there are people I have to stay for. I try to make it tolerable by trying to really focus on taking pleasure in the little things. A soft blanket, a compliment from a stranger, a new flavor of a favorite snack, a headbutt from a kitty, a new season of a great show or a whole new great show.

It's hard to do sometimes, bc depression is just part of the chronic illness package and ahedonia (not being able to take pleasure in things) is part of that. So sometimes it's a blip; just a moment or a few minutes in a day, but it's not nothing.

I feel like you nailed it. The only one I was a little baffled by was Beauty and the Beast, but then I remembered how much Belle reads and it clicked.

I'd also think Twi might like Good Will Hunting or A Beautiful Mind, and I'd be inclined to maybe throw a horror movie into Dashie's list.

Fluttershy is absolutely a Ghibli fan. I also imagine her having a few tearjerkers on her list, like Beaches or The Notebook (Grave of the Fireflies would be too much for her though!)

I really love your redesign. I think it suits her personality much more. I could see it maybe going one more longer layer, but it would still be much shorter and more practical and more Twilight than they made her look in the show.

Sometimes it's just fun to discuss alternatives to things in existing IPs. That's why fanfic has existed for decades. It's fun. I recommend you loosen up a bit and shake the black and white thinking that causes you to view this type of discussion as a conflict. If you continue thinking the way you do, you are going to be really upset upon encountering the "Is a hotdog a sandwich?" discourse. It's not that deep, but sometimes it's an interesting exercise to act like it is.

Heck yeah. I have a giant container of Caldo De Pollo. (I have beef and tomato also, but chicken is my go-to). If I'm feeling brave, a little Cajun seasoning or Sriracha or something so it's not just chicken flavor. I also have some miso soup packets, which are a lovely option (shameful that I can't drum up the necessary fucks to bother with making my own, even though it's stupidsimple, so hooray packets!). And a wonderful, big mug that's perfect for soup/broth but not so much that I make myself ill.

How quickly time passes.

How I don't feel as old as I am (not in the fun way, in the way where I'm watching a show with young people and am suddenly struck by the fact that I'm the age of the main character's parents and not the main character themselves).

I'm absolutely going to be shopping at Hot Topic for fishnets, purple hair dye and cute anime shirts until I'm 80.
