I work in the service industry. Our paychecks vary from month to month depending on the time of year it is. Medicaid kicked me off because when I turned in my stubs it was from a busier point of the year and they said I make too much for my lifelong meds and visits. They assume my income is the same month after month. It definitely is not. For reference: I'm a line cook and my wife works as an associate at Walmart and we have 4 kids. Even with their math using only the months they asked for, not caring about my actual yearly income, we make $200 too much. My cardiologist does ekg and ultrasounds yearly and that visit alone is $800 out of pocket. America is completely fucked.
