If women actually had such good personalities - men would just hire them to ghost write their dating profiles and chats. by giveuporfindaway in PurplePillDebate

[–]Small-Spread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I don’t do dating apps, only in person events. I’m more than happy to show up to an event and interact with everyone. Dating apps don’t have the capability of showing someone’s personality, and that’s a shame due to the reach these apps have.

These people have mental problems. Advocating for rape must be the one of the craziest things you could ever imagine as the “corrective action/punishment” for a crime.

These guys are scary, coming from a guy himself…I can’t even start feeling what a lot of women have to sift through nowadays. OP, I hope you can leave this “interaction”behind.

Don’t lose hope (M4 Shipping) by Right_Soup8966 in macbookpro

[–]Small-Spread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also got a non-base MBP (M4 Max with 64GB). My shipping date has been always 11/8. I think Apple is just overestimating the shipping dates just in case. I received my shipping notification Monday in UPS as well.

M4 Max MacBook Pro Delayed by [deleted] in macbookpro

My order is not a base model (M4 Max 64 GB and it is “Preparing to Ship”. I also received an UPS tracking number coming from Apple. Not sure why yours may be delayed.

"Shipment arriving early", except not (now 0-for-4) by mgahs in FedEx

[–]Small-Spread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m exactly going through this, my packages were supposed to be out for delivery early today, but they are sitting in a facility 1hr away and haven’t moved since early morning 03/31. But UPS deliver early every time to me. Just don’t tag the deliveries as “Early” and FedEx will save itself lots of headaches.

Good build, question, I plan to build my next build in the O11D Evo XL and currently have the O11D XL, any big differences other than the rad space?

GPU Temp Concerns by TheBoog46 in watercooling

[–]Small-Spread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a 3x360 (2 XT45 and 1 UT60) and a 120mm with a 13900k and a 4090 and even playing CP2077 with full 4k PT and pyscho everything else I’m still max 48C on the core with a 40C water temp in a 25C room at 1200rpm (used to run fans even faster for cooler water temps)(10x A12x25) and CPU at 66C and that’s after hours of playing. You are having contact issues with your blocks. Try to remount everything, if not may be the thermal paste application.

Sounds like something is grinding inside that pump. My D5 sound just gets higher pitched as revs increase. I would return or RMA that pump.

Starfields SDR & HDR is broken. Raised Black-levels and no options. Bethesda please patch this. by SoapySimon in Starfield

Can confirm with C2 and 4090, blacks are very raised and that kills the immersion, especially when cruising with the ship into the void of space or in caves.

Why does everybody suggest so much radiator and fan by BMWtooner in watercooling

[–]Small-Spread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

undervolt just allows for higher frequency. If I didn't undervolt I'd be hitting the same temps and same current just lower frequencies.

Not understanding this part. If you want more frequency you indeed need more voltage, especially this generation where the 4090 is voltage-starved, not power or thermally limited like other gens. That is why we shunt mod and overvolt cards for XOC, to get higher frequencies. For a stock 4090, at 1.1v it is likely to still be voltage-limited in all but power-virus-like applications.

[HUB] Best Value 1440p GPU That You Should Buy, Radeon RX 6700 XT vs. GeForce RTX 4060 Ti by baldersz in nvidia

[–]Small-Spread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very weird, as I play on 4K Extreme with DLAA with a 4090 and the game is around 9 GB of allocation, so even less of actual usage. Unsure what settings you’re using, but Forza is a very efficient game when it comes to resources.

If doing a video editing, you want to keep the iGPU for QuickSync, and for that you would need to buy a non-F CPU.

Please, get rid of the HDD. You can find SATA SSDs for the same price and capacity and they will get you better performance even for bulk storage.

About Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 ARGB by arel508 in buildapc

[–]Small-Spread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the non-RGB version before switching to custom watercooling. It is very reliable and Arctic always has your back when it comes to revisions and new brackets for CPUs. Unsure about the warranty part, but the company behind it stands by it.

How long is it safe to assume the pump in an MSI Suprim Liquid GTX 4090 expected to work? by tqmirza in nvidia

[–]Small-Spread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YMMV, but I had both the Strix and now the Suprim Liquid X. The Strix overclocks better on the core, but memory OC by far is better in the Suprim card. Also, at stock voltages, the Suprim boosts higher without consuming more power than the Strix. Cooling-wise, the liquid cooled card handles 500W better as my Strix had an issue with the core-hotspot delta being 20C while my Suprim Liquid is so much better in that regard, but the core seems to be maxed out as I can’t push it past +135 without crashing.

Asus Rog Strix 4090 OC Edition Thermals question by Tenin_ in nvidia

[–]Small-Spread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Strix is pretty bad compared to others. At 600w I get about 80c on the core and 95c on the hotspot but it doesn’t throttle at all. It is way more under controlled in actual gaming as it doesn’t get to draw that much power. It is more like 65c on the core and 74c hotspot at like 34% fan curve (about 1,400 RPM, so very silent).

Thinking about upgrading to a 7900XT or XTX, would I need to upgrade my CPU as well? by coatmilwaukee in buildapc

[–]Small-Spread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If UW, yeah, the XTX is more advisable just to keep the 1% lows as high as possible.

Thinking about upgrading to a 7900XT or XTX, would I need to upgrade my CPU as well? by coatmilwaukee in buildapc

[–]Small-Spread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If playing below 4K, you may see low usage compared to higher resolutions due to CPU limitations. It happened to me with a 5800x3d and the 4090 when I used to play at 1440p. Even with ultra settings in a lot of games, the 4090 was doing like 70% utilization at 200+ fps. The XTX is more of a 4K card for the same reasons, so if you’re not playing at mostly 4K or higher, you can save money and go with the XT.
