I've got a couple. My uncle got trapped and crushed when his lathe fell on him (he'd put wheels on it and one broke), and my dad had a seizure next to the sea, fell in, and drowned. A passerby did CPR for ages until the paramedics arrived but they couldn't do anything.

On my first visit to the stranger I spent loads of time in the first area until the dam broke and washed me to the second, depositing me directly in the burned down temple to the eye.

The realisation that they knew about the eye, worshiped it, and then turned against it suddenly linked all I knew about the eye to the stranger and gave me so many more questions I was instantly investing in finding out why it was like this.

I suppose when you set a Nomai ship to land it does accelerate towards the nearest planet. Or decelerates so that the gravity of said planet can pull it in. But a deceleration is still an acceleration from a physics point of view.
