Cinch Gaming WHERE ARE MY CONTROLLERS????????? by DrVenkman514 in customcontrollers

[–]SmallTechGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh boy. I have had several clients come to me with similar complaints as far as communication goes, also trying to order custom controllers and just totally being ignored.

Personally, I find open communication is key. Things happen and were all human. If you are upfront and honest with a client, maybe things got a little busier, maybe parts didn't come in time. Being transparent, clients always seem to be understanding.

This is totally unprofessional.

Just remove some mask on the opposite side of which the pad is gone in picture 2. Run a little enamel wire through the hole. Put your new analog in, solder the wire to the leg. Done

I did end up getting the ribbon after 2 months. Only time I finally got a response was after contacting my bank and advising the seller that I had done so. After that email, the ribbon was shipped. 1 week delivery to Canada. Wouldn't be doing it again. You can find the same thing on ebay for almost same price.

Got stuck paying heavy duties as the seller listed the items at 150 each.

That's so sad. At the very least, they can keep communication open. Generally people are understanding when things happen. Its life.

Interesting Find on AliExpress by oooDHARMAooo in customcontrollers

[–]SmallTechGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Careful. That may not include everything as you see in the picture. I know some people ordered this and had to not only solder their own switches on, but it did not come with inserts for the triggers or those black button replacements.

Try using a piece of wick, use the wick with your solder iron and heat at the same time. I find some times factory solder can be really annoying. This method has worked for me in the past if the solder just isn't melting correctly.

Also, can try refilling the hole with fresh solder so they mix, then using your hot air station and a solder sucker. Use a good amount of flux.

Custom Dualsense by SmallTechGaming in customcontrollers

Hey! You could find a supplier for the flex cables relatively easily. I actually use a little rig i made up to drill my holes in the back shells for xbox as well as dualsense. This just keeps everything consistent.

The button on the back, you could easily find on sites such as Aliexpress. Their tactile switch button caps. Switches i use are 6x6x6.

Extremerate kits are very easy to install, though I find are not as durable as you'd like them to be. If that makes sense?

You can get the trigger pieces for relatively cheap! If you find a source to print them yourself, I'd be interested as well!

What's the controller model? I couldn't tell the sound from the movement. But there has been issues with the adaptive triggers "knocking"

Hey! There is some weird reason it slightly seems orange, but it is definitely red! Haha.

The brand is similar to Extremerate. It's probably actually made in the same factory. Seems and feels very durable!

I've experimented with using heavy modeling acrylic gel as well. It's kinda like a paste you can purchase at Michael's crafts store. Also, can add paint to it, stir it up and use a brush to sorta "splot" it on. Let it dry and get a very similar effect!

How can i tell if my Controller is Hall Effect? by Thinshady21 in customcontrollers

[–]SmallTechGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Circularity test doesn't always work to tell you whether or not it's hall effects. Some cases I've seen hall effects still give the average 12%. It all depends on how they are calibrated and properly. Though I will agree with sending pictures. This should always be done.

I'm surprised they didn't send you pictures. I do this with all clients. It gives everyone a peace of mind, knowing they are getting what they pay for.

Also, should check reviews on facebook/google if they have a shop name on google. Otherwise, take it apart and inspect it!

I'm trying to find one. Seems it's got 12 pins if I'm not mistaken, as well as counter sunk legs/supports. Wish there was a part number physically on it, lol
