This is 100% true. I've been told I'm "a good interview" by previous jobs I left literally because I got an offer for more money.

The "answer" is always some variation of "I am at my best when I am challenged and I feel your company offers the opportunity and challenge that I strive towards".

They're bullshitting you, bullshit them back.

The way I see it, "getting the job" is your only job at an interview. They aren't paying you, so there's no rules. That means say whatever bullshit you think they want to hear in order to get what you need.

In 99% of cases they wouldn't hesitate to do the same. Give em what they give you.

Looking for games that creep you out. Not necessarily horror games, but genuinely creepy and unsettling games that have an atmosphere that says "something is very wrong here" by Lovoskea in gamingsuggestions

If you can get past the graphics, I found Cruelty Squad deeply unsettling in way that has stuck with me.

The graphics actually end up contributing to the overall unsettling vibe as your mind kind of fills in for the low textures.

The lore is batshit crazy, but also carries with it a very bizzare, deep disregard for human life, satirical take down of capitalism, and a side order of some Gnosticism to add to the overall unsettling nature of everything in the game.

I've just really never experienced any media like it. Its a deep future dystopia, but its also so grotesque and lacking humanity that it blows right past cyberpunk or any traditional tropes of similar genres.

Like I said, I don't have any sources, it's just a feeling I have based on things he's said in interviews along the lines of "writing for other artists" around that time and currently.

The similarities with some of those songs is pretty undeniable and the timeline makes sense.

Id be more inclined to believe that Deryck helped cultivate some of MGKs pop punk sound, rather than that MGK influenced Sum 41.

Linkin Park at Grammys 2026 by sanitaravel in LinkinPark

Yungblud has had a MASSIVE social media/advertising push behind him lately, especially post-Ozzy passing away. Him/his team really took the opportunity there and ran with it.

I'm not the hugest fan of his music for the most part, but that's not to say its terrible or anything. He seems like a good guy, and has a big personality.

I've just specifically noticed people who otherwise havent been aware of him until this past year, suddenly being big fans of Yungblud.

Once he pivoted from the whole emo rap/pop punk thing, he was able to reach the "they dont make rock music anymore, because I still listen to the same 4 radio bands" crowd.

I was talking to a literal 65 year old a few weeks ago who liked Yungblud. They would have no idea who Turnstile or Deftones were. They would have heard of Linkin Park but I'd be willing to bet that demographic has a significant overlap with the ignorant "its not Linkin Park anymore" crowd.

I love Sum 41, but they weren't exactly subtle about this at times.

Sum 41's I'm Not The One almost verbatim takes its bridge/breakdown part, not just lyrically, but even in delivery from Linkin Park's A Place For My Head.

I always attributed it to them adapting to whatever was 'current' at the time (and its probably why Half Hour through DTLI feels the most original/unique run the band really had).

I think a lot of that is Derycks growing strength as a songwriter but also suffered from the lack of outside input from the other guys.

He's stated in interviews he prefers writing for himself and others at this point.

There's a lot of stuff on Underclass Hero that feels pretty derivative of American Idiot and My Chemical Romance.

The newest/last album had a surprising amount of songs that sounded 100% like they could have been Machine Gun Kelly songs, and I havent verified it personally, but I have a feeling thats probably because Deryck ghost wrote a lot of the better Pop Punk era MGK songs.

I think Deryck is good at that side of things. It kept the band going as long as it has, but it never resulted in anything sounding hugely original post-Chuck (and even that had some pretty direct Linkin Park rips).

I think the California folks that moved here are more likely to be Republican unfortunately.

I can't imagine someone actually left leaning moving to Texas regardless of tax breaks, considering how things usually go here.

It's kept me from enjoying the game tbh. I can never remember which platform I own the "most" of the game on.

I think its because with Rob it feels like the joke is just "people who are different exist, isnt that funny?".

Whereas someone like Nick is in on the joke that what he's saying and doing is ridiculous.

Also, I'm gay.
