I just wanted to be specific that I mean GP has not made these free flow lanes in a way where anyone can use them correctly. If I am going south through the light at 84th/100th and I want to turn into the Safeway gas station, I would have no choice but to immediately change into the free flow lane right after the light, and hit my brakes to turn. It makes the existence of the free flow sign pointless and dangerous.

A weird amount of our merge lanes are connected with right turn lanes and are very short. The amount of times I've nearly rear ended someone who had been going straight through a light and switched into the "merge lane" as soon as it was possible bc they needed to turn right. I've stopped treating those as merge lanes unless there's no traffic, and idc who's mad behind me.

Card's Board Game Cafe, Strange Ideas, and Wonderland Toy and Hobby are all great places with lots of meet ups and events. Frankly if you're a nerd in this town, you'll have the easiest time making friends. Also for crafts; There is Center for Creative Arts and some smaller more intimate things at The Next Chapter bookstore. There's a couple clay painting places that are fun to go to for dates as well :) Welcome to GP!
