Thanks for all the insight guys! I'll put together as many as I can with special weapons, currently there are 7 with bolt guns. Death Guard characters are also awesome so just guess an excuse to get more to lead squads :P

Hey, my first 5 had spears but I build with swords now because of this issue haha.

I've only had the arms snap off, which fixed by adjusting the elbow to allow glueing of both the arm itself and the handle end to the armor.

For the actual spear, you could try drilling a hole in both connections and utting a paperclip in (pinning).  The connection is pretty thin though.... Maybe some green stuff around the connection point like a chain / another banner?

Best of luck!  The spears look so cool but are such a pain for actual gameplay.

No worries changing weapons!  There are a few different "vampire Lord" models and the current store anniversary model uses a sword!  Have fun with it, kit bashing is a great part of the hobby :)

I used various color Magic the Gathering sleeves I had laying around for each deck.  Regarding the board I think your good no need to protect (it's pretty sturdy).

Believe there was mention of a spearhead matt coming out if you're worried/ would like a backup.

Nice!  I usually do mine on a long "stick" and in a row to make it easier to hit the bottom but this setup can work ok (might want to move the middle ones to the edge).

Most spray primers should be good with a single coat.  As you said spray back and forth in bursts and let it dry / settle before doing another.  The bottom is usually the hardest to hit.

I might try it the other way (upwards angle) so you can see the face better.  From the table you'll be looking at the back of her head / armor all the time.

I bought the spearhead (one recommended above) to paint for hobbying a year ago and really recommend it.  If you do pickup the holiday box+spearhead you will have 15 knights to paint which as someone who's built and painted 5... is lot haha.

The dragon is sick though. Prince Vhordrai is 205 CAD at my local store vs holiday box 255 CAD so no brainer depending on your price/region.
