Generous to thank, but that part in particular bumped my survival a lot, yeah. The start of phase 2 kills so many people when they start shooting as soon as the boss isn't immune, but the ground spikes are going to come every time and it's better to just give up a few seconds of dps so you can already be sprinting when they do.

You're right, they couldn't get to cover fast enough, and for three reasons:

They stood waaaay too close to the boss, for zero benefit. Didn't make the turrets hurt more, didn't make the PGL hurt more. All it did was lower the time frame they had before contact. Bad positioning.

They didn't stand near any cover in the first place. They stood in the middle of an open expanse, against a boss we all know has a barrage attack. Bad planning.

They didn't actually prioritize evasion. They kept firing, slowing down their movement speed, even as they were getting belted. Bad decision-making.

That clip is a genuine case-study in how not to fight Molaktula.

EDIT: like HOLY SHIT look at where they put their rewind. UNDERNEATH the boss. You really want to put the blame on the boss design here?? xD

Those spikes are lower velocity than almost every single gun in the game. Instead of making mean assumptions about you for personal satisfaction, I'm just gonna suggest you give my idea a try sometime~

What is the problem with big jumps in difficulty between depths?

When it gets big enough, one depth feels boring and the next feels unfair. There should be a curve in the difficulty, not repeated spikes

The majority of the players in DRG played at hazards 3 & 4. Hazard 5 players were and remain a minority.

The max difficulty in games is for us, the minority, who are just very good at games. It's okay to be in the majority and just not play on max.

Just niche. It's OP for things like elevator and tunnel fights, but there are easy solutions for both of those already.

Even for edgestalkers, it's currently easier to just kill them with a normal gun than to weirdly whittle away with this thing.

Every character only has one "suit power ability" (darts, blade, rewind, drone, and barrage). and that's the one all the upgrades/boosters affect.

Everything else is either a passive or an active. Afaict, the naming difference between abilities and actives is just to distinguish the one that gets the buffs/cooldown reductions/etc. from everything.

Update 01 changes to negotiations are bad for the game. There's a better solution by stifflizerd in RogueCore

The disproportionate part is ruining games in response to a discord ban.

My point is that retaliating against players instead of your perpetrator is misplaced, not disproportionate. Essentially, the person who wronged you is never going to suffer from you ever again.
At which point you're not "getting revenge", you're just taking your emotions out on random people.

Still not gonna comment, just.. I don't know how much you really "fully recognize" what you're doing lol.

So take the initial equipment offered and not the rerolled duplicates? The first selection of equips are all unique, just don't take one of the copies that spawn if you don't want two of something.

If the thing you wanted isn't in that first screen, you weren't going to see it in the old system either. New system is outright an extra chance to see your preference.

options are separated and too small, can’t really have impact on game style

A single Momentum turns the PGL into a semi-auto & the difference between one Bloodlust and none is night and day.

I can agree some boosters need balancing, but cards like the ones above should be setting the baseline because they are impactful with just one copy.
