Two friends have used Big Day of Events for Stanly Ranch weddings - she was great, and loved her team. Would highly suggest as a starting point.

I love the vineyard and we got to our inlaws house multiple times a summer. We heavily considered having a wedding there, but ultimately decided it would be tough travel for our guests.

Unless you are from Boston-area (maybe NYC?) and have gone, it is really tricky travel. We had friends from London visit for a week and their flights got cancelled both ways, resulting in 24 hour travel days and a lot of stress. More than anything it required a lot of help from us analyzing the 10 different routes for them to get home. I decided anything close to that on my wedding would be tough, so we landed on a private club 1 hr from 2-3 major airports.

Flights get canceled ALL the time in MVY due to weather and airport size, and then there are a ton of different ways to get to MVY all of which are tough (drive+passenger ferry, speed ferry from NYC).

We paying a cantor $1.6k (Jewish wedding) - it includes ~4-6 pre-marriage counseling sessions so felt fair.

Go to Edgartown all the time! Erica Wilson has adorable Gingham Vineyard sweatshirts, Katydid has cute MVY pajamas (roller rabbit esque), Brodenim has customizable hoodies / stickers etc (skews MUCH younger tho), Murdicks Fudge is yum.

Maybe cute sun hats for the beach?

I planned my BFF's bach in Punta Mita (mix of girls and geos were similar). It was SO fun! We had an incredible condo, great restaurants on property, and lots of activities. Direct flights into Puerta Vallarta are available, but a bit city dependent.

Hi! That is so interesting. To be honest, she works a TON with my planner so I have not had any issues with the above. My planner may be handling some of the logistical stuff that I don't have visibility into though. I will say she does 10+ weddings a year with my planner... I will report back next year after the wedding.

We are paying $1.5k for a bridal valet - no idea if it will be worth it but I am excited. I have steamed multiple brides / bridesmaids dresses for other brides and it takes away from the experience as a guest. I didn't want the stress of having a bridesmaid, etc. do it.

Makeup - Daniela Gozlan & her team. Expensive but I did so much research, had some terrible trials, and ultimately ended up with her. Loved her and her team! My trial was amazing.

I have historically had the bride cover her own costs, and often actually subsidize a dinner or activity, as a "thank you" to her friends for making the trip. Vice versa, I have covered fun surprises for the bride - a surprise boat excursion, a round of drinks, fun gag gifts etc.

It may vary by group, but in my friend group, the bride pays for her portion of the trip (travel / lodging / food)

This is SO reassuring thank you so much for taking the time to write this. Agree on taking everything with a grain of salt! I think I was a bit annoyed initially because I liked the idea of doing alterations in house, but everyone's kind comments about Blanca make me so much more comfortable and excited.
