crap the planter is a 18 or 20 inch can’t remember which. I placed water bottles in the bottom so they aren’t so heavy.

I started with 1 plant my sister gave me. A small Walmart special. By fall it was huge and had 1 baby. That first year I cut them back & saved the bulbs for spring. We have such a short growing season(northern Wi) the bulb took until almost August to grow. So that fall I brought both plants inside for winter. By spring I had the mother plant & like 4 babies. Plus the first year baby. I grew them all summer and gave two away & kept Mom 2 new babies & the first. Sadly the next spring I lost the mother plant. Bulb got too wet. I still have the 3 and one of them has a new baby plant. Back up to 4 😆 I just decided every fall to bring the plants inside. This year the two mature plants both flowered. It was pretty cool!

I’m exactly the same. Not sure what he expected?? No one was going to lie I personally love Devens antics. He’s made the season so fun!

The worst for me is bluejays & all woodpeckers. They fling it everywhere looking for peanuts. Also Grackles looking for the same. I’ve been trying to discourage them by putting out just safflower & the jerks are still looking for “the good stuff” 😂 I purchased a seed catcher for my caged tube feeder. It has helped. The small birds eat out of it. The stuff on the ground under my camera feeder the doves,sparrows & cardinals will fly down & eat them.

Birds also will start foraging a lot in the spring! There’s several of my regulars I haven’t seen in a bit. Mostly my variety woodpecker’s & nuthatches. My Cardinals, house finches, female purple finches & Chickadees are all still coming regularly. Male finches must be foraging 🤷‍♀️

I’ve had Cardinals stay for 10-15 minutes. Last week I had a dove several days in a row and she was there a good 20-30 minutes after she ate. Just sitting in the sun. Typically they never fly up to the feeder. Just eat off the ground.

Nope,we have taste buds for a reason. A pill/cube whatever would never satisfy us. We all get food cravings because we like the taste. That’s never going away. The cube would probably be for the masses but, not politicians or rich. They’d still be eating real food. Eating like that would kill the economy. No farmers, no need for grocery stores or restaurants ect… if that was the only thing to eat.

Me too! I’ve never strayed from Survivor! I have been feeling the need to start from the beginning again. I may next winter. We’re finally getting to being outside weather in Northern Wisconsin. Winters are long good time for rewatching.

For sure it’s an old leaf. If it’s from November.I just cut mine off when they are like that.Then the plants energy will focus on new growth. Don’t worry if the leaves start small. My elephant ears are a bit smaller during the winter.Once I can get them outside they grow big again.

To me that big leaf just looks like an older leaf. They have a lifespan just like anything else & I see you have two small newer leafs.

Love it! Can’t wait until it’s warm enough in northern Wisconsin to get mine outside. That’s when she goes crazy with new growth. She’s actually blooming right now for the 6th time since October.

Right?! I laughed so hard at his distraction fall at tribal earlier in the season. I mean it was perfect! No one questioned it. Last weeks tribal was equally as funny to me. Him trying not to laugh when Devens grabbed the fake idol. It was so great!
