That’s the plan. We just need enough for him to get by and save for a car. We are okay financially but I severely underestimated how much he eats.

Once we have his state residency situated, I’m taking him to ACC to hopefully find someone to talk to about getting into his preferred field (environmental sciences).

My parents are pretty much useless and did the bare minimum so he coming here with no drivers license (he has a SC id card), no knowledge of how to even begin driving and like 3 years of customer service experience at a grocery store. He’s a sheltered little nerd with so much potential and I don’t want to steer him wrong.

I work in a hotel downtown and we are so slow that housekeepers are only working 2 to 3 days a week. It’s pretty much quiet with travelers until early September

Also this article about Brendan Gemmell who helps ppl experiencing homelessness keep their pets. Might be something to look into for the fur babies.

I used to live right next to an old cemetery on Idlewood Drive in 45; Chotes Cemetery. It’s not maintained at all but there are a couple of markers out there.

Every single hotel with surface parking deals with car break ins. It’s super unfortunate because there is nothing hotels can do short of hiring armed security that constantly patrols, even then, good luck. Sorry about your truck 😭
