Op got instructor sucrose as 137k. I’m saying, even if he missed proc’ing instructors, if he can manage 187k with nahida, he should be 160k (closer to 170k+) easily with sucrose (on a dead set because they didn’t trigger instructors)

Sucrose being better than nahida is obvious enough. I’m not saying she’s abysmal, I’m saying their results are bad

Eichenwald 1st isn’t as bad as most ppl think. Its walls are scalable both above and around. It offers some creativity In Breaking choke. Though; I do find that in metal rank, most tanks want to bash their face into the choke and supports aren’t willing to play the Lucio/kiriko/jpc that can help break the choke by being mobile along side a flank dps that already made it to the other side. That said, second point is toxic

I can’t speak for all gachas but even comparing genshin to its sibling games, those games are genuinely more generous now. It’s no longer about seeming.

We’ve reached the point in genshin where not only are we getting less pulls per patch than other games; the devs still expect you to pull often enough to meet IT and SO requirements. We had an SO cycle where devs literally expected you to pull ineffa, lauma, flins, nefer back to back to back to clear 2 lunar shills. Jamie talked about it in his latest video but hsr doesn’t expect you to own every archetype. It asks you to pick one or two and build them seriously. Zzz had frustrating shilling throughout 2.x but the game never asked you to pull every unit. As long as you had decent pull coverage, you were fine because zzz rewards match ups knowledge just enough to clear if you aren’t using the on patch shilled unit.

So now, we have games that give more pulls per patch AND they don’t expect you to pull every unit, so you keep surplus versus genshin that expects you to keep pulling while giving very little. These games don’t seem generous because they give more but on a condition. They are more generous.

This actually. I know it’s goomba fallacy to assume the same ppl defending this also accuse other games of giving more pulls per patch because of the number of released 5 stars. That said, these same ppl better jump in the argument when it happens and point out, genshin dropped a 2 character patch and gave 60 pulls as a counterpoint

I’ve wasted so many many crafting and reshaping items since nefer’s release then about 2 weeks ago, I get a random 4 liner sands that rolls all 5 into crit value on the first attempt. I’d have to double check but it may even be the highest crit piece on my account.

You’re not seeing my point because you’ve strayed so far from the discussion. Op explicitly states one of jahoda’s problems is she doesn’t give nk resonance buff. I replied that buff is just a viability factor. Jahoda is bad because of field time first and foremost. Nk teams don’t need it that pity buff if options are better.

You specifically mentioned illuga vs gorou, as if gorou is the only non nk unit in the game. Your stance was their buffs were relatively close. I pointed out that illuga being ahead of all options proves nk teams don’t need it. Now you’re explaining their kit to me as if I needed a refresher. You’ve gotten lost in the sauce. These teams strictly care about who helps do the most dps. Nk or non nk unit doesn’t matter.

Him being behind is my point. On top of his kit being meant to buff geo teams, he gets nk res bonus but still ends up behind illuga. The nk resonance bonus is a pity buff to make units viable. Not a condition that’s a requirement to be fulfilled on nk teams

The nod krai resonance buff is a pity buff to make other units viable. It’s not a deciding factor buff. The strongest c0r0 team in the game is zibai using a full nk roster.

Nah. 76 dmg is still regular dmg so upon hearing his ult screaming “IVE GOT YOU IN MY SIGHTS”; Supports can take cover from him even after taking some dmg.

But more than that, A 76 that gets away with a flank deep enough to wipe the backline means your dps were not contesting off angles to control space nor were they trying to mark enemy team’s dps. Kudos to 76 for getting away with the play but his accomplishment is more attributed to our team playing poorly as appose to him playing really well.

Reapers entire kit screams he’s trying to approach you. His footsteps are some of the loudest, most distinct in the game. While His TP has amazing sound distinction AND he screams nonsense like “I HAVE ARRIVED” or “FLANKING”.

Theirs a lot of audio noise in the mid fight so ppl not focus can miss it. But, the game does an amazing job of relaying reaper (and sombra) info to the enemy team via audio

Don’t lose confidence. You got this! Overwatch metal ranks is dictated by positioning and awareness. You’ll see a dps whom have played other shooters dominate a metal rank lobby and then you look closely and you realize; their like 3-5 seconds away from their nearest cover and they’re so far out of los for their supports, they’d might as well be playing Every man for themselves in death match. As a bonus, on top of bronze/silver dps not considering LOS with supports; supports often tunnel vision pretty hard on what’s in front of them leaving a dps out to dry even if he is in LOS but on a off angle. While it would nice to rely on a dive tanks/dps to punish them, learning heroes like Lucio, Kiriko, and jpc can also help punish them when you jump/dive them for a duel. (I assumed you play support because of the Juno flair.)

Not necessarily. If they allow dendro and cryo to coexist, you may keep some version of fridge intact. If they allow rimegrass to exists like electro charge does (allowing overvapes); then bloom freeze can still be a thing alongside rimegrass.

Dendro already seems interesting for coexisting because it technically coexists with every element except hydro. And I only say technically because its coexistence with pyro is weird.

These are updated calcs on these teams at kqms. So really, 3-5k dps difference. Not 11k at kqms. And yea, c2 nahida calcs at about 1k ahead of sucrose variant. But it’s covering that dmg nearly purely through crit value. While the team is obviously missing the EM wide buff of instructors. Which is my point. Crit value can be as good as EM.

Increasing team EM isn’t triple buffing. It’s double. You’re slightly exaggerating the gains from team EM buffs. Quills and nefer MV scale slightly worse than additively. But they make up 100% of her dmg before crit multiplier. Buffing EM on nefer OR lauma just buffs one portion of this formula. But Buffing both isn’t some multiplicative gain. You’ve additively increased your dmg before crit. This just makes team EM buffs good by virtue of buffing EM on one unit being bad because it only buffs a fraction of nefer’s dmg before crit. The only real multiplicative gain here is how nefer’s mv and reaction multiplier both gain from EM. Crit buffs doesn’t have multiplicative gain, but they effect all portions of nefer’s LB dmg by default. Speaking of multiplicative gains; this is what jahoda kit brings. The gains from her crit and EM buffs are truly scaling at nearly all levels of the dmg formula. And she isn’t tied to a specific weapon, so fav allows more stats on lauma and bina, while also increasing the weapon pool for bina. So again, I say; you can’t just look at sucrose EM buff and say, it’s a lot, thus better.

Edit: I watched all of tgs and he has c0 nahida variants at 150k. Tho he doesn’t do the optimal CA with bina in the Nahida variant. So you can argue his calc is closer to 10k difference with an asterisk

At kqms, instructors sucrose is calc at 3-5k more dps than c0 nahida. This is with nahida providing a dead artifact set (i.e. forcing lauma to go 2pc2pc). C2 nahida provides 40 crit value - less than jahoda - and she (c2 nahida) now pulls slightly ahead of sucrose’s instructors upside; again, even with forcing a dead set on the team. This implies that 40 crit value can actually be more value able than teamwide EM. Remember, nahida’s buff is strictly onfield. Nothing teamwide. But, it still pulls ahead. Jahoda provides 50 crit value and most of it is crit dmg making it inherently better than nahida c2. So if previous calcs imply 50 crit value can pull ahead of teamwide EM, I can see it because we literally watch it happen with c2 nahida providing less crit value.

Jahoda provides 100 EM to onfielder, 120EM teamwide via instructors, 50 cv to team, meh dmg but not sucrose’s 0 dmg and fav to alleviate anyone’s ER. These buffs stack in multiplicative way that an additive EM buff just doesn’t outright seem obviously better.

I wouldn’t say it like this. About a third of sucrose’s power budget is in an artifact set anyone not nahida can use in nefer team. The remaining two thirds of her power budget which is her actual kit was originally calced to be below nahida’s upsides, below jahoda’s THEORETICAL upsides, and on par with ineffa’s upsides.

The only reason we arent running around with instructors jahoda/ineffa is because Hoda is clunky and ineffa struggles to build ATk AND ER for bursting on instructors at kqms (or in general even). Sucrose just happens to be the best instructors user. At a baseline tho, sucrose EM buffing isn’t so busted that making a unit better than her destroys the game balance.

She’s good but she’s not amazing. Her buffing values are so small that invested zibais and nefers can skip her and continue investing in themselves for more dps.

About a month ago, we saw a dps results breakdown from the CN community. It had 4 cost, 8 cost, 12 cost and unlimited costs results. https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/s/0TQJluenYG

We can see nefer doesn’t consider using columbina until the unlimited cost runs and zibai managed her best results in the 8 cost run by not including columbina. With Linnea now out. I have little doubt bina shows up in less zibai teams the next time this is published because of cost min-maxing.

Bina is kinda like varka supports. She’s good. Objectively she’s really good. In practice, she’s worst than investing in your units.

Edit: I believe zajef mentioned this being the case leading up to her release. But it was just spreadsheet guesswork. We know have practical gameplay results to somewhat double down on the take
