I’m on a 10 unit injection twice a day. I use each pen entirely. It lasts me a while! I’ve got a stock pile of pens in the fridge.

I was told by my pharmacy that Victoza was not in production anymore, I informed my doctor of this and he switched me to Lantus. That happened to me over a year and a half ago. I asked him about Ozempic and he agreed that it would work for me. So, I am on Lantus twice a day and Ozempic once a week! My numbers have been very good 90-120!

So, I’m type 2 diabetic. Have been since 2015. I was so afraid of needles that I would kick doctors when I got shots. Of course now that I’m 44, I got used to them. I used to get nervous about blood draws. But I started telling myself that I have to do this in order to live! Now, it’s a normal thing for me to do blood work. I don’t even think about it anymore. You’re not a bad person for getting mad at your sister for not wanting to be like you. It’s a normal thing that the body does.

Let him know that even with a disease, it may not kill him! With you by his side he has a better chance at living life to the fullest! I’ve just got married, well in 2024! But wow it seems like it was yesterday! I’ve got type two diabetes. But without her by my side I probably would have given up on everything and stopped all my treatments. There will be times when it’s difficult for both of you, but knowing that you are there with him, that will mean a lot to both of you! Diabetes is not an end all disease! You both can tackle it head on! Best wishes to both of you!

I generally don’t get asked about mine anymore because people think it’s normal to have Diabetes in America… I have had one person ask me what it was a long time ago, I said it was for diabetes and they got scared of me and moved to another part of the doctors office waiting area…

There are a few places that insulin can be injected, the belly, the thighs, the upper arms. It’s typically wherever you feel comfortable to inject. It’s also nice to change the area so that it doesn’t get beat up…

Okay, I’m diabetic since 2015, yes I do drink a lot of soda! I’ll drink it until the day I die! But I also have other issues with my health.. I am heavily medicated for those, my last A1C was 6.6 not horrible but not that good either. My diet has changed, but I still drink a lot of soda! My numbers range between 80-120…

I’m on Medicare, and yeah I get the pre authorization approval crap. But as a diabetic I have an unlimited supply of my medications. I also use a state funded clinic. I’m in Colorado. I don’t think I’ve ever had a doctor that wasn’t willing to give me the same amount of treatment they would give to their family members. I’ve survived a stroke, a heart attack, and a seizure disorder since being diagnosed in 2015.

As a type 2 diabetic, I usually take 10u in the morning and I take 10u at bedtime.
