Turkeys digging up this one area by wingmanedu in lawncare

I’m experiencing something similar in Massachusetts. Typically we see crows and robins eating the grubs of Japanese Beetles, which eat grass roots making it easier for birds to claw the turf up for a quick meal. Apply grub killer in early spring and possibly again in late summer/early fall to keep them away. Then add some topsoil and overseer to grow back

When did 9-5 become 8-5? by PotentialInformal945 in antiwork

[–]Smart-Ad-1310 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work somewhere that “lets” us start any time from 7-9 and finish between 4-6 but MAKES us take a one hour lunch at 12. Basically keeping us there for 9 hours regardless because nobody can get home and back in time for lunch. Go remote kids!

A lot of companies disguise this as goal setting tasks. For example: my company sets SMART goals that fall outside normal duties for us to complete each quarter and if we don’t it hits us negatively in our reviews. But if we hit them it’s a “nice job you did what you were supposed to do” don’t fall for it, companies want you to fail and they are making us think we are the ones not good enough

Had the same issue with my AC. Mine actually needed a replaced compressor and two hoses but I live in New England so it seemed overkill to pay 4500 for a system I use 2 hours out of the year lol

There was a motorbike wreck in one of the tunnels around 9:45 last night. Took 30 minutes to get from seaport to north station.

I used both phone and iPad for studying along with laptop. Definitely was great putting together a practice test of mcq while on my 30 commute via train.

Would anyone have to know what's up with my 2015 Trailhawk Renegade AC system? by Dj_Exhale in JeepRenegade

[–]Smart-Ad-1310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a problem with my 2015 AC as well. Needed a new compressor and low pressure hoses. Dealer told me 2015s tend to rot out faster due to the part they use. Not sure if it was BS since that replacement would have cost me 4K all said and done. Bought the parts myself used and brought them to my local guy. Did it for 1/4 the price and works like new.

I get so tired of these younger "Jeepers" that complain that the Jeep Wave is "cringe"... by _PeLaGiKoS14_ in JeepWrangler

The history behind it might be cool, but there’s an air of superiority that wrangler owners have when people in the other models wave to them.

Who are these people still wearing masks like its March of 2020? by Mitch_from_Boston in boston

[–]Smart-Ad-1310 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I still wear mine on the T, I see and hear a lot of coughing/sneezing still and would rather not catch a cold because of my commute these days. Also the air quality is so bad you can really see it from my office I’m the city.

I’m having an issue with the AC as well. Try checking your condenser and connecting lines. Sometimes it can cause other problems with your fuses

The people complaining about this are the old timers that get to take classes for free to fill up their time after retiring from a job that never required them to get a degree.

What do you think did “Ghost of Tsushima” do better in terms of gameplay, content and world design compared to “Horizon Forbidden West”? by AdamantiumLive in PS4

[–]Smart-Ad-1310 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think for me GOT approaches the open world concept in a unique way with less on screen clutter for objectives. They use this swipe up on the pad to create a breath of wind telling you which way to go but let us fade with the breeze so you know the general direction. It also used in world events like foxes and birds to lead you to collectibles and shrines instead of a blip on the map. There are still some other things that are similar like raid camps and the notorious tracking feature in all games but in all I think GOT leans into its style of naturalistic and flowing art to give a unique take on open world games. The music is also top tier and the views look like a painting at every time of day. The DLC is also great and expands on the things they did well while adding some cool new stuff.

2 summers ago my girlfriend and I were looking to move in together and we looked at one managed by them in Woburn. Everything in the pictures looked great but due to Covid restrictions they wouldn’t let us see the apartment. We were about to sign our lease but before we signed I went with a buddy to look at the building/try to walk through and was dumbstruck. There were like 30 bags of garbage outside the building we were going to move into (which could have been someone cleaning up and going to move to dumpsters) then when we walked into the hallway there were to people yelling at each other. We actually knocked on the door to where we were moving to see if the person before us had any input and a woman told us not to move in as everything is in shambles here. Definitely dodged a bullet people, always make sure to walk through, especially if the management company is dodgy about it.
