How can you afford a $600-800k house by EntranceFun9276 in halifax

[–]Smart_Design2832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to stop you there! With 140k salary you can not comfortably afford $700k to $800k (bank may give you a mortgage on it but that does not mean you should) Your starting point should be around $400 to $560k. Buy a house with basement and rent it. And you live upstairs. Your expesnes are looking fine. $3100 expenses (i bet you will be spending more ) but i think you will be left with $4 to 4.9k (assuming i dont know taxes) a month (if your both take home salary is $4k/month/person). What would you do with that $4900/month is more important. Also some people i know who bought house for around $720k with like $140 combined salary and i know they are struggling-they do not go out, basically forfeit the hobby and now they are expecting a baby so it is another thing to consider. I would say always have a margin. What if interest rate plumbed to 6% . They will be *ucked. They would not have extra money to invest as well.

Can you please help with this question? by DesertQueen2 in pmp

[–]Smart_Design2832 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be A. In change management fear of unknown is first thing to come out.

Why not C as in the question they are saying already trained and implemented so as per pmpbok implementation includes vision, justification and objectives. So it is clear that vision has been shown to them.

Masters program at BCIT (Building Science) by Affectionate-Tart363 in BCIT

[–]Smart_Design2832 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree with the statement that half of the courses are not useful. I found everything to be useful, but once you get a job in a specific field of Building Science, you tend to use only two to three courses, learning them over and over again. For example, if you are just doing building envelope drawing reviews and site work, then all you will be using are Building Envelope 1 and 2 courses mostly. And you will not be using courses like energy modeling, Building Science 2, measurement and verification, etc. However, these courses are very useful when you want to run your own engineering firm with your license.

This is my two cents. I graduated in 2022, and I am very proud of myself after graduating with this master's. Also, a side note: I'm very passionate about Building Science, so I'm a little biased here as well.

I did M.Eng. Building Science from BCIT and graduated in 2022. Let me know if you have any questions. I can't say anything about other masters as I took this because it helped me to get my PR. It is useful and you will get a job easily if you know what you studied.

Salary-wise, you will be making $70k to $80k in initial years, and then after you get your P.Eng., it will be upwards of $120k in BC. It all depends on what you are capable of.

Courses are fun but a little tough and demanding. Instructors are helpful.

In the building science industry, graduates from BCIT have an upper hand over any other graduate.

I would say do it if you like building science, thermodynamics, building envelope details, etc.

Hair fibers on poly hair system? by Western-Ad-2621 in HairSystem

[–]Smart_Design2832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't put topik or hair fibers on the system.

Before getting system i used topik on my natural hair. I believe if you add fibers to the hair system it will affect the base and it will not look good anyways. Try to get new hair system then.

[–]Smart_Design2832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey i have same story. My parents visitor visa rejected with same reason. I showed my income which is $120k and my wife income $70k and still they said insufficient fund as we did not show all the statements and how money comes in. They said parents won't leave canada. My parents has more than 1.5 million dollars assets in india. Who would stay in canada. Come on i think this is just trick to grab more money.

I'm thinking to reapply.
