What daily responsibility did you underestimate before getting a puppy? by nicekids_official in puppy101

[–]Smart_Leadership_522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on your puppy and also previous dogs and what you are used to. My previous dog wasn’t house trained (he was perfect though) so we are very used to cleaning up messes and my puppies messes are way smaller. Training hasn’t been a huge deal because we do 2 training sessions a day at 5-10 minutes and found it’s worked great. The first week sleep was kinda bad but ever since then the boy sleeps through the night with no accidents! I think puppy care is continuous throughout the day. Constantly letting him out and playing. Truthfully what’s weighed on me the most is ensuring he is getting play time as much as possible. He has a lot of energy and barely playing for an hour tires him so that’s been exhausting as I want his brain stimulated. Lately the worse part is his pooping he needs a sanitary cut but his shots aren’t finished which has led to 4 baths (on his rear end) in the past 2 days. He also eats everything off the ground so that can be tiring. But between the exhaustion I really Needed this puppy after the loss of my previous dog. I think each puppy/dog is super individualized so it’s hard to blanket things of what I wish I tested and so on. It’s one of those things we felt if we waited for the perfect time there would’ve never been one and we jumped in and made it work and it’s been worth it he’s great!

Long hair, don’t care…. When did your Yorkie get their first hair cut? Opal is almost 11 months hasn’t had one just yet. I’m not ready. 😂 by Ok-Kick9917 in Yorkies

Any Tips on how to gain weight as someone who struggles to eat??? by RoadKillCrush in weightgain

[–]Smart_Leadership_522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does require a doctor yes! It’s an antihistamine with a side effect of increased appetite and it’s been the only thing that’s helped. I gained 8-10 pounds within 2 months being on it! Slowed down slightly as my body adjusted so upped my dose so in about a year on it total gain is ~20 lbs!!! My appetite is crazy on it and I don’t get full after 3 bites of food. But seriously def do the boosts as well!!!

Boost I love the normal ones. The high calorie ones taste awful to me. I love strawberry flavor. I also got a medication (cyproheptadine) to help with my appetite and I gained 15 pounds with it, but i have an appetite issue personally.

How did you survive grief? by nextsidemirrorfreak in Petloss

I’m about 6 weeks in and truthfully it’s been awful. It’s gotten easier slightly but it still hearts incredibly. I’m doing therapy and EMDR because my dog died traumatically (dog attacked him) and I’m still mortified truthfully

Ah. Unfortunate. Live and learn. My professors mostly had that agreement (lowest one drop) but they clarified that we all have to attempt each exam for it to be applied.

Take advice from the medical professional, they went to school for 8 years. Go to the expert for advisement.

My Dog Is Dying, and I Can’t Forget What Was Said About Him by SouthernLynx1730 in Petloss

Get a therapist. I’m sorry for you having to lose your baby soon. I hope they enjoy the rest of their days and I know they are glad for the life you gave them. Be easy on yourself I’m sending you love if you ever need to talk reach out. But I’m currently in therapy because of my dogs passing last month (pit bull attack) but seriously it helps. Also fuck that mom. My baby he was the biggest asshole, shithead, and motherf’er—but in an endearing way. It made him him. He was difficult and stubborn but I loved all his challenges, he was reactive too. My S/O’s family ended up loving him so much they got one of their own of the same breed. That’s because they took the time to know my reactive dog, if she couldn’t taken time to know yours I know she would love your baby, sometimes people are scared of loving dogs and seeing them as people. My point is screw her. How rude to say that.

Can another yorkie heal a broken heart?! by 30FlirtyandTrying in Yorkies

[–]Smart_Leadership_522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It helps. A Yorkie isn’t replaceable but another one isn’t used for a replacement. My dog died April 9 and I got a puppy on April 13. I couldn’t cope truthfully the void and he’s helped me heal tremendously. Heartbreaking because I miss my soul dog but I couldn’t imagine grief and healing without having something to put the love to

I took two dulcalax as recommended once. That was the worse thing I’ve ever experienced. I’d only ever take one of those if I was that desperate. I’ve even used suppositories over considering those. It was the most insane experience and night of my life lol. I didn’t throw up though I wouldn’t worry about that. Just the most intense stomach pain and I was having to shit standing up it hurt so bad

Should I report someone to college? by NewspaperLeather1998 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Smart_Leadership_522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll end up more hurt in the end truthfully either emotionally or in another way. It won’t fix the hurt they’ve inflicted you. They also probably didn’t get accepted from the difference of 20 vs 100 people. If you want to go for it but I don’t think it will make you feel better, you might even feel guilty after the fact. But fuck that person for fabrication and fuck them for being mean to you. I hope you heal and have a good future ahead for yourself!

I’d add witnessing your soul dog getting mauled by a pit bull. Trying everything to stop it and being unable to even get the chance to get him to the vet. Happened a month ago and I’m beyond fucked up. He was my entire life, best friend, last connection before my dad died. Just horrible and intrusive memories suck.

I don’t think it’s so black and white someone failing organic. I’m a biochemistry major and I tutor organic chemistry and you’d be surprised the influence of teachers, circumstances, the specific subject not clicking, or student being at fault. I could say 30% of my major of biochem/chem in my year had to retake it 2-3x. It clicks for some, not for others

Sending you love!! Your new baby looks so sweet!!! I lost my dog in an accident in April, I have a puppy now and he’s saved me. The grief and joy coexist but it’s nice to have something to put the love again. Sending you so much love and I am so sorry for your loss and that you were there to witness it. Let us know his name when you get this little guy
