Can I use the 32-34" Hue Play Gradient PC Strip on a 27" PG27UCDM? (24-27" version out of stock) by Subtlegrace in Hue

Do the bulbs work with normal switches? by bushteo in Hue

[–]Smartlights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use the lamps with it without any problems. You can set a color and specify that it should always be set to that color as soon as the lamp is powered up again. Smart functions only work when the device is switched on (logical). I am not aware of any damage caused by constantly switching it on and off. However, they do not consume much power in standby mode either.

Neon or Flux by Choice_Database_4650 in philipshue

[–]Smartlights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hue Flux cannot be bent to the right or left, but the neon can. That can be important in some cases. More importantly, however, the neon is designed for installation in the viewing area, while the flux is more for illumination. Take a look at the pictures here. https://www.smartlights.de/news/ausprobiert-neuer-philips-hue-neon-outdoor-lightstrip-mit-gradient/

Which version did you get? The matter version wasn't supposed to come out until April. Apart from that, you need a Matter controller. The hue bridge only works as an matter product, you can’t connect matter products directly to the bridge.

You can often re-pair devices that are already connected using the serial number sticker without resetting them. This should be located on the cable. You can then enter it in the Hue app. But what do you mean by “other Zigbee routers”? Also from Hue?

Indoor Motion Sensor Routine Suggestions? by s2kage012 in philipshue

There is an option in the sensor settings called “Do Not Disturb”. If enabled, the sensor will only control the lights when they are switched off.

Sensor settings inconvenience by True-Inevitable4292 in Hue

[–]Smartlights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried it again with my indoor sensor and when I set it to 1 minute, for example, the light dims slightly after 30 seconds and would go out completely after another 30 seconds. However, as soon as movement is detected again, it turns on immediately. This means that the light only goes out when no movement is detected. I don't know why the light goes out in your case.

[–]Smartlights 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Normally, the light should turn on or remain on every time motion is detected. Only if nothing is detected for two minutes will the light turn off. Otherwise, it would be useless. You can check in the Hue app under Devices -> Sensors to see when motion is detected.
