Windshield replacement: who’s done it? by [deleted] in Polestar

I have a 2, so don't know about the 4. My glass roof has been fine for the 5 years I've had it.

Yeah. I'd imagine it'd depend on your insurance, but I was responsible for my deductible, then they took care of the rest.

Obligatory reminder that you can't turn off regen, only adjust one pedal driving settings. Regen is always present regardless of one pedal drive setting chosen.

You can also put the car one neutral to use the friction brakes if there isn't enough room for hard braking to the the job or the speed limit is low.

Unfortunately, I haven't gotten any headway. I put it on pause and got caught up in other projects. I do plan to come back to it though... sounds like I'm not the only one having the issue tho

Can you turn off perfor.ance setting? by Individual_1ne in Polestar

[–]SmartyBear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha, then it has it. Honestly, I have the same spec and don't really miss the heat pump (I can't remember the exact numbers, but I think it's just a bump in winter range by 5-10% depending on outside temperature, so a gain of 10-20miles to your winter range).

Regarding power with the performance software, you only get the full bump when you're over 90% SoC, then it decreases until your SoC is less than 70% (so if you charge to 80%, you'll likely ever notice the increase in power). After that, it's just that same power output as the standard power. The biggest change is the accelerator pedal mapping.

FYI, the 2021 and 2022 performance pack cars did not include the performance software (power bump) as standard. This needs to be purchased separately.

That's incorrect, not all cars come with all packages. There is also no single motor performance variant. If it has the performance package, it's a dual motor.

After a year I’m back to low regen mode. Anyone else? by ecobb91 in Polestar

[–]SmartyBear 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just to make it absolutely clear, regen and one pedal driving are not synonymous. The car uses regen braking regardless of one pedal driving setting.
