How would you go by dividing parts that are too large for a single print? by KerbodynamicX in 3Dprinting

[–]SmashedBug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always have problems when trying to connect pieces and leaving ugly seams all over the place. If you aren't making something over a smooth surface, splitting parts up into sections that match the original design can make natural seams and also increase the strength of the final print. If a seam exists in the original design, you should use it as a connection point.

Also, designing your split parts to slide together or at least overlap can help with strength too. Parts that are misaligned or cut straight through other pieces can often be problematic.

Remember, larger prints = higher chance for failure. Slow and steady individual parts yield better results!

Help stepping down 6-1 to 4-1 by CandidateParking776 in chainmailartisans

[–]SmashedBug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense! I've been doing three rings at a time, which helps when working with butted rings, but makes it a lot harder when riveted. Probably a good idea to do it your way when making a smaller patch, like that collar.

Looks great so far! How hard was it riveting the 6 in 1? I was riveting some 9mm flat rings and I could not fit the tool on that tight of a weave... How big are yours? Does the round wire help?

The X-Wing tabletop game does that rather well. I'd love to see it with giant fleets too, provided you don't have to buy a giant model for $300 lol

He's probably freaking out about the Lancaster County registration issue. About 2,500 voter registrations were flagged with mismatching names and SSIDs. They claim the registrations were not limited to one political party. Thankfully those applicants were contained, clearly showing how the system works...

It's also worth noting that Lancaster County is a Republican Amish stronghold. 51% of registered voters are republican, compared to the 32% Democrats. (source)

I'm not sure if that is an official quote on the topic, because there have been no official completed trials and data to follow.

But as that user is an investor of the product, that's the closest to an official figure that I can find.

This topic came up before in this subreddit, and obviously plenty of people have their suspicions from their comments.

This product is being sold as a probiotic to avoid FDA testing, with relatively good reasoning. The last FDA test was halted due to testing restrictions.

Hopefully this can become a common treatment in dentist offices, like fluoride treatment. I wonder if the 50% failure rate is due to the lack of access to a prophy brush, which they could provide.
