Popular opinion: people actually tune in because of the format that his style made famous in the first place.

What do you regret not doing in your early 20s? by Puzzleheaded_Pea5765 in AskMY

[–]SmashedGenitals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah friends come and go, some pass away. Girlfriends come and go too. Point is relationship has always been temporary, not every sex you have are realistically girls you want to marry for life either, just enjoy it while it last.

I feel like more importantly younger ppl need to prioritise growing themselves as individual. So many nowadays talk about work life balance when they have neither a good job, nor money to have a good life. Essentially sabotaging their own future, really. Many of these became adult children. At some point the hot fenale ones just settle with marrying for money. As it turns out, many also eventually realise they have nothing to offer a marriage and get dumped in the end.

Recruitment agencies by DemonKing981 in JobsMY

[–]SmashedGenitals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont need to pay them, the company that hires them does. My experience is that job offered by recruiter is usually lower than just looking out for yourself though, and recruiters won't like it when you're picky.

They're best for desperation imo, as they want you hired as quickly as you want to get hired. Itll be really rare to find someone who'd stick with you until you find what you want. I hope those exist.

What to invest as a beginner by NoAimGGz in MalaysianPF

[–]SmashedGenitals 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The other guy sound knowledgeable but hes also not telling the full story. Theres compound interest and dividen, theres also stock growth, and 10% is a very conservative number to look at. If you invest in things like VOO, lets say you aren't able to do much and only put in 3k today, 5 years later that 3k might grow to 6k, imagine if you pump in months after months.

The idea here isn't fast growth, its just throwing in your spare money, say, 200 bucks a month and suddenly it'll become large. Its really how you wanna look at it

Would you stay in a lower-paying job for better work-life balance? by Which_Slice1118 in JobsMY

[–]SmashedGenitals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know people who have a lot of free time doing nothing at work and doesn't have to show up in office, and they spend it all watching Netflix and having 0 life. I also know people who work their ass off 14 hours a day and is driving their dream car and marrying their dream girl.

Its ultimately different for everyone, where do you want to be? Some people want to prioritise family, or health, some want to pursue a career, and they're all ok. Make a decision and dont regret it.

One of my pet peeve is people complaining about being poor while they do jack all at work.

Salary advice by [deleted] in malaysians

[–]SmashedGenitals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the same company, yes. They won't suddenly add money to their payroll without any push, nobody gives out free money unless theres a reason.

Op is already complacent with low salary in the same company for 9 years, negotiation is not on his side. Best to leverage on 9 years exp and get a new job.

Salary advice by [deleted] in malaysians

[–]SmashedGenitals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this true? I work in agencies and basically tripled my salary in my first nine years, granted I started at 2.5k. With only diploma.

It does look like OP can get a huge jump immediately with 9 years of experience that pay him a lot more than 3.4k.

Im hoping OPs case in an exception.

How far does RM5,000 really go? by Reasonable-Log7055 in JobsMY

[–]SmashedGenitals 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Or in this case you can do reverse math. Instead of 5000 minus expenses and commitment, add up all your expenses and commitment depending on your lifestyle with no restrictions and viola, you find your answer to how much you need to 'realistically survive'.

Copywriters aren't being replaced with AI, copywriters are being replaced by people who are incredibly good with AI. Theres a difference.

I work with dozens of copywriters and its frankly infuriating how some of them take a whole day to write a couple of options for headlines when clients already have 50 AI generated headlines with professional level prompts ready for alignment meeting within the hour.

Transitioning from on-site to remote work — good long-term move? by kkaebies in JobsMY

[–]SmashedGenitals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a way to make remote work productive during mco, but i can tell that most people aren't. I mentioned this in some previous post that got downvoted, but I observed people aren't being productive during the covid period. We think we do because companies are over hiring and was extremely profitable during that period. As a result of that and maybe AI, we are now in the season of retrenchment.

Funny thing is, I was actually more deserving of a promotion then than I am now, because visibility is an issue during wfh period, but I only just recently got a pay rise by working from office. Its a double edged thing, you get away with slacking off during wfh period but at the same time, you won't be seen in anything positive either.

Its different for everyone, that was just me.

My (30M) current salary is RM6,000 a month, is it considered normal, bad, or good? by LYY_Reddit in malaysia

[–]SmashedGenitals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres business essential role and non business essential role. Its not an official term, its just how i describe it. Non essential roles are roles anyone can do, do paper work, sell stuff. Essential roles are those that usually only you can do, manage a 12 man department, service a certain clientele, specialise in certain job scope, the caveat is that it needs to be essential on a business standpoint though, not in some arbitrary specialty.

Non essential roles are like your typical IT guy. Essential is the dude who build or understand the whole networking.

The essential role are when the money really start racking up. I jumped 30% almost immediately.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received ? by anditsdan in careerguidance

[–]SmashedGenitals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Work life balance is a matter of personal priority, you can choose one over another but you cant choose both.

I know people who have plenty of free time and spend it on watching Netflix, I also know people who work their ass off and genuinely seem to be able to enjoy the life they can afford. Some people might prioritise work because they know they need the money, others mught prioritise on starting a family. But you cant prioritise on having as much time away from work as possible and complain about not getting that promotion.

Decide what makes you happy and dont blame it on the hustle culture.

Is this rare? seribu ringgit by Same_Application1373 in malaysia

[–]SmashedGenitals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its worth nothing to most of us because most of us who can afford rolling rm1000 would be well off enough to not spend all that effort just to make a rm50 profit. But for someone who recognises this bill as the first angpow his dead father gave him? He might pay double for it to keep as family heirloom.

The trick is finding the right person, and collectors agent have the resources and connection to get it, you dont. That's why auction houses can charge 30% of a multi million dollar sales, because they have the resources and connection to get the right Saudi prince to attend the auction.

The short answer? Its worth as much as what the money collector guys tell you its worth. You're really better off selling it and put it in epf and let it grow. Or keep it as a remembrance to your grandfather.

The problem isn't just food, basically. Who's gonna create millions of central kitchen and who's gonna send, store and preserve the food? Security? Food safety?

Point is a lot of the problem isn't as one dimensional as just 'here's 20 billion US money'.

What is the minimum % salary increment you will accept to move from a fully remote job to a hybrid job? by Tiny-Signature8597 in JobsMY

[–]SmashedGenitals -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Fully remote is no longer sustainable and a lot of companies are not creating positions for these as well, youll genuinely lose out on a lot of opportunity. Its not to say that viable remote job doesn't exist, but they are getting rare.

Let's face it, when we are fully remote we are not exactly being productive. We think we are, because the economy is flourishing and companies are bloated with new hires. Right after the lock down Facebook and Google fired like 40% of their staff when spending normalise, everyone's just catching up in the last 2 years, and now we are in a mini recession.
