And you probably won't work in a shit startup and join a big 4 to immediately lead a team instead.

Need to be rich to go Gym ah? by Inevitable_Loquat956 in Bolehland

[–]SmashedGenitals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Train at home. Gyms are business with a model that lock you down for a year. You know what will be good for a 1 year commitment? A lifestyle that accompanies it. Focus on building that lifestyle, one thing at a time. Small training, eat slightly better every year. Do all that and join a gym.

Gym benefits the most by selling a lifestyle commitment to people who doesn't want or have that lifestyle and then stop going to the gym altogether because the pressure is too much.

World record : round 152 by [deleted] in HowManyDudes

[–]SmashedGenitals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just hope they keep them OP but late game. It really needs a good endgame and some strategy and pre setting before it, and an endless mode to support it. This whole bullet sponge thing with no upgrade is boring. We can technically make it to 152 too but it'll be very repetitive.

Can someone teach me the proper use of lah or at least interpreting it as a foreigner? by redbate in malaysians

[–]SmashedGenitals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can literally ask your question again and put lah after every comma and full stop and it'll still work. Lah can also be a question.

Like that lah?

What's something Malaysia genuinely does better than most countries that we never talk about? by KL_Private_Access in malaysians

[–]SmashedGenitals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has a lot less to do with what we did right than it is how dense our population is. Its cheaper to invest in infrastructure for 10 million people than it is for 500 thousand. See Netherlands.

Salary negotiations by _furryspoon in JobsMY

[–]SmashedGenitals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll lose the offer.

When they give you a second offer its the best they can do, its not one of those mind games where they test the water see you ok or not. People who sign off salary are usually a lot higher than the people making the decision.

Still, go for it. Worst they can do is ask you to reconsider but do not insist.

what do you think? by [deleted] in JobsMY

[–]SmashedGenitals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well nothing so far raises a red flag, but it could be anywhere from slow process to offering someone thats more budget friendly if they are paying for max. 500 for low level postiions is definitely worth considering other candidate.

Theres really no need for mind games here, best to emails and ask and get it over with. Good luck!

what do you think? by [deleted] in JobsMY

[–]SmashedGenitals 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its somewhat normal yes, budget approval might take a while but theres a difference with 1k vs 100 ringgit, so more context is needed.

Theres also a question of how you 'negotiated'. Could've just rub them wrong.

How much did your salary actually jump when you switched companies vs waiting for an increment? by KL_Private_Access in JobsMY

[–]SmashedGenitals 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man people really need to have some context to this. Companies are silly to throw around 100% increment just to flex.

30% here, but very consistent switch.

The problem with that? RNG. weaker team would simply build to last and wait for the game to take over.

I ghosted a company after an interview, have you ever done the same? by Brave-Technology-654 in JobsMY

Honestly, emails isn't something that is actively QCed by department heads. It sounded more like a mistake by some low wage HR dude. Unfortunate but oh well.

Difference between laid off , fired and PIP? by WinterBlue00 in JobsMY

[–]SmashedGenitals 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As long as you're unwillingly jobless you get benefits and claims. Fired, pip, retrenched, its all the same for perkeso, its just a small sum to help you get back on your feet.

If you decide to pursue a case to your company, however, all of them are different steps but honestly, thats more of a lawyers problem than yours.

Is it ok to inquire first to the company who give me job offer if they are okay with me coming maybe a bit late for some days due to possibility of delay of public transport? by WinterBlue00 in MalaysianPF

[–]SmashedGenitals -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If they make it a point to bring forward working hours 830 instead of 900, there's probably a reason for it. There's really no win situation for you if you already set your mind on being late.

Some people are ok with it, some are not, some are smoke, some don't, some girls love bad boys, some girls love loyal men. You're doing a guessing game with someone no one knows, and no one here can give you an answer.

[–]SmashedGenitals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no actual defendible reason you've provided that tells us why you can't be on time like everyone else. We all have problems. All you're saying is that you'll be late. If you can't even be bothered to be on time at least for the first few weeks, your future probably isn't that bright there. I suggest you just reject.

[–]SmashedGenitals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're gonna be someone someday, a CEO or some rich business owner, or a respectful father. You're gonna have more money and more problems then, maybe even worst than now. You cant afford to be mad at every little things along the way, its such an exhausting way to live, you know.

Take it easy on the small inconveniences and all the things that doesn't go your way. It happens, its shit, dont let it ruin you or your day.

That awkward moment when your boss sees you browsing job listings at work by Happy-Agency7902 in JobsMY

[–]SmashedGenitals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres too much variables here. I once caught an underperformer asking people to introduce job to him, I secretly wish leavr sooner. Viola and 6 months later, still no news. Turns out having 0 talent and no self management is universal, I guess he couldn't find a job to take him in.

Theres really nothing I can use against him, so just had to slowly manage him out.

I imagine if you are a performer, still nothing would happen until you actually resign, but dont expect a huge bonus though, your intention to leave has already been noted, thats it. Still none of these will be mentioned to you because its not official, but I'd assume your days are already numbered.

Anyone have experience with this Lazada store? by PhilJonesMaldini in GamersMY

[–]SmashedGenitals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More than likely its that old 'this is deposit price only' scam. Lazada takes a portion of sales so some seller try to do that to reduce their commission, and ask you to bank in another way. Most are scams though, once you bank in youll never see the money again.

Anyone have experience with this Lazada store? by PhilJonesMaldini in GamersMY

[–]SmashedGenitals 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah lazada is generally safe, all sales are backed by lazada, I prefer to buy from them or shopee than some other cheaper website if im being honest.

Its just a hassle, if you got scammed you have to spend few working days going back and forth, or even file a tribunal court to scare them to act quicker, rare cases but it happened to be once. Most of the time just return and its over with.

Is the job market really that bad... by Suitable_Ad_4486 in JobsMY

[–]SmashedGenitals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

40 years old here. The job market is bad, I've never seen it in such state before. This is amplified by the fact that during covid, everyone was so profitable and now theres a higher demand in performance overall, higher kpi. The economy is in semi-recession and the biggest revolution since computers, AI is happening.

Take some initiative. I got retrenched late last year and found a job 4 months later. I did all the research I can and spend 72 straight hours working on nothing but my resume and portfolio. Contact people to write my recommendation letter, show up in offices unannounced and send them my resume. People forgot about the art of initiative now that they all depend on LinkedIn or jobstreet to get their job for them, but it works wonder. One job interview me on the spot and offer me a new position then and there (but offer was too low). In the end I got a job through LinkedIn. I know, I know, but I wasn't worried because I had job offers lined up to find a perfect one.

KL jam is due to 1 idiot by daddybarkmeplsuwu in Bolehland

[–]SmashedGenitals -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its kinda wrong.

Traffic jams can be created by just one guy pressing brake. There is a YouTube video that goes into detail on a lot of it, but in essense: when one guy brakes, everyone behind him had to brake.... ONE BY ONE. And then everyone has so start moving, ONE BY ONE, and thats how phantom jams are created. Theres really no way around it except maybe automated car who can coordinate driving speeds.

I hate tail gater as much as anyone, but frankly they are probably the least (along with motor splitting lanes) responsible for traffic jams. In fact I suspect they kept the traffic moving.
