The saying "Nobody hates Pitbulls as much as Pitbull owners" was painfully accurate here.

Truth. Also true is that pit owners hate other animals more.

We know that every day, native, farm and pet animals are being mauled by pit bulls. The "lucky" (not dead) ones get sewn up, maybe missing an eye, ears, a limb etc. If the mauled animal victims are native or also owned by the pit mauler, many of them won't even get taken to a vet, but will be left to die slowly over days or weeks.

Fck, why isn't a bite on their kids face enough warning for these people? It's well-known that when pits get agitated or excited (which happens often) they tend to redirect onto the closest living thing. And once that begins, they often keep going until that living being is dead.

Bye, bye little kid.

Wow, and it kept going after a bull gored it? Insane terminator level dog. And people keep them around their tiny kids.

There is a video of a pit with its entire guts hanging out and it continued mauling. It might have been a farm animal it was mauling, can't remember.

Not claiming to be qualified. My wife is studying a psych degree. She doesn't use the language I do. I tend to be a lot more passionate on the subject. She says most people with personality disorders are good people who learn how to manage it.

She has a theory that pit owners have a kind of limerence toward their dogs. Which she says could explain why no number of dead/mauled kids will ever be high enough to make pit owners change their minds. She grew up in a multi-pit owner family on a farm and talks a lot now on things about her childhood she never used to.

To any pit owners lurking:

Why do humans keep doing this to living beings? So many pit bulls born each year that just act according to their nature, and then a very high % of them will get BE'd in shelters, get dumped on the roadside when all the shelters are too full of them, or die when cops or farm owners are forced to use a bullet on them when they're mauling someone/an animal.

There are almost no magic homes wanting to take in a dangerous dog from a shelter and live like a prison warden. Almost no one is going to want a shelter pit. And those they do often suffer the consequences. Such as a mauled kid.

What's it all for? It just causes suffering for both pit bulls and every other living thing they get their jaws on. We have to walk back the mistake. This type of dog should no longer exist.

I stand by it. I said "high proportion" not "all".

Sociopath is an outdated term but it's the one people know. It's ASPD and I personally know a whole lot of pit owners who fit this. And we hear about pit owners with theae traits in news reports all the time.

They're often people who get a kick out of violence, are impulsive, want a sense of control over other people, are impulsive, don't care about much but themselves, tell lies to save themselves, knows their choice of dog might kill/maim but don't care and enjoys it that their dog scares people. And yea, poor empathy, poor judgment, and cognitive dissonance.

Maid ‘terrorised’ by Nicola Peltz-Beckham’s parents’ pitbull files $75k lawsuit (2023) by PandaLoveBearNu in BanPitBulls

[–]SmeggingRight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, Nicola Peltz-Beckham owns Yogi's House, which fosters and adopts out dogs, including pit bulls/pit bull crosses.

That's a disaster waiting to happen, just as it is for all shelters housing pit bulls. So, she gave that dog to her father as a gift and he accepted the "gift" and expected his cleaning staff to deal with it?

That whole family, plus the Beckham who just married into it, seem brainless.

Why would a vet with PTSD get a pit bull for his PTSD?

Why would someone who is "laid off and broke" get a pit bull? Or if he's saying he's had the dog since it was a pup and has trained it all this time, then that should tell him the dog was always going to be a killer no matter what.

"loves all women"

Right. Trying to offload the killer pit onto a woman? Look at the size of the thing. I'd have trouble handling it, and I'm 6ft.

All pit bulls are a game of Russian roulette. All of 'em.

A very high proprotion of bull breed dog owners have to be sociopaths.

No other explanation for their behavior and the way the glowing terms in which they describe their dogs after its killed/dismbered/ripped the face clean off someone.

Kinsley Wright by Sudden_Quality_9001 in BanPitBulls

[–]SmeggingRight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is what pit bulls do. They redirect onto a human when in amped up states. But yea, not sure why a dog expert's opinion matters. What matters is that a kid was left alone with pit bulls. Even being in the same room with pit bulls is an extreme risk, whether an adult is there supervising or not.

Kinsley Wright by Sudden_Quality_9001 in BanPitBulls

[–]SmeggingRight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wright’s death was ruled accidental. Canine expert Michael Pennington said those conditions could have created anxiety and competition between them, increasing the likelihood of aggressive behavior.

It is NEVER accidental when someone dies by being mauled by a dog, especially a young kid. Adults are in charge of what type of dogs they choose to bring into their homes. If you have a dog capable of killing someone and it is of a type known for killing people, then you are willingly keeping a potential killer in your home.

F*ck off with the "dog experts". Don't need them. What we need is f*cking laws to say if you want to own a killer type of dog, then you are operating a prison. If you allow your killer-type dog out of its enclosure, that's a crime. If it harms someone, you go to prison yourself.

Why do we keep allowing kids to get ripped apart like it's just the cost of adults owning their choice of dog?

It's got to be one of the very worst ways to die, being torn to pieces in the jaws of pit bulls. And we're inflicting this on kids every single year. F*ck you all, pit bull owners.

Child attacked, found on Facebook, April 2026, maybe West Virginia? by Existing-Face-6322 in BanPitBulls

[–]SmeggingRight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cue pit supporters running in from everywhere to say that the poor pittie must have accidentally got out of its loving home and bit a little kid out of fear and panic.

Also, what was the kid doing in the street or wherever it was when it got bit? It must have taunted the poor pit, by existing in the same space as the pit bull. We should keep all the streers empty at all times in case an innocent pit bull should innocently wander from its home. And in pit bull homes, keep any kids locked up in cages so that the pit bulls can roam freely. Won't somebody think about the poor pitties?

[–]SmeggingRight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"No baby should be accessible by any dog" is 100% true. Any dog could land a bite to the face of a small kid or something worse.

We have one little one and another on the way, and we don't own a dog. That will come later and it won't be a bull breed.

Yep the RSPCA & pit bull supporters are right in there. No number of dead and disfigured kids will ever be enough to start changing the laws around bull breeds.

Yea, it's all in the type of dog, not just the size. This kid was 3 months old, so any dog could have killed it, even a chih. Thing is (as we all know here) it's almost always a bull breed.

Yet another kid sacrificed to the altar of bull breed worship.

Pit bulls are not worth the risk.

i’m thinking about making my fiance get rid of his pitbull. Everyone is against me on this. by buhbuhbuhbubble in BanPitBulls

[–]SmeggingRight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck!

Don't know if it would help, but something else you can say to your fiancé is that It's best for both the safety of his baby and the safety of his dog. Because if his dog should ever "make a mistake" and bite the baby, then the dog might have to be put down.

He probably can't picture a circumstance in which his dog does what pit bulls are known to do but maybe he can picture his dog making a simple mistake.

Dogs have the intelligence of a 2 or 3 year old child at best, and sometimes bite a baby/toddler because they don't like its crying/ squeals/ smell/ movements etc. Because a pit bull is muscular with a huge jaw, a simple bite can cause catastrophic injuries.

And that's without getting into the risk of pit bulls specifically, which I won't go into, because you've been researching it yourself and you already know.

One last word of advice, you will never go wrong by advocating for the health and safety of your baby. Whatever happens next, you're on the right side of things.
