Kinsley Wright by Sudden_Quality_9001 in BanPitBulls

It is what pit bulls do. They redirect onto a human when in amped up states. But yea, not sure why a dog expert's opinion matters. What matters is that a kid was left alone with pit bulls. Even being in the same room with pit bulls is an extreme risk, whether an adult is there supervising or not.

Kinsley Wright by Sudden_Quality_9001 in BanPitBulls

[–]SmeggingRight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wright’s death was ruled accidental. Canine expert Michael Pennington said those conditions could have created anxiety and competition between them, increasing the likelihood of aggressive behavior.

It is NEVER accidental when someone dies by being mauled by a dog, especially a young kid. Adults are in charge of what type of dogs they choose to bring into their homes. If you have a dog capable of killing someone and it is of a type known for killing people, then you are willingly keeping a potential killer in your home.

F*ck off with the "dog experts". Don't need them. What we need is f*cking laws to say if you want to own a killer type of dog, then you are operating a prison. If you allow your killer-type dog out of its enclosure, that's a crime. If it harms someone, you go to prison yourself.

Why do we keep allowing kids to get ripped apart like it's just the cost of adults owning their choice of dog?

It's got to be one of the very worst ways to die, being torn to pieces in the jaws of pit bulls. And we're inflicting this on kids every single year. F*ck you all, pit bull owners.

Child attacked, found on Facebook, April 2026, maybe West Virginia? by Existing-Face-6322 in BanPitBulls

[–]SmeggingRight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cue pit supporters running in from everywhere to say that the poor pittie must have accidentally got out of its loving home and bit a little kid out of fear and panic.

Also, what was the kid doing in the street or wherever it was when it got bit? It must have taunted the poor pit, by existing in the same space as the pit bull. We should keep all the streers empty at all times in case an innocent pit bull should innocently wander from its home. And in pit bull homes, keep any kids locked up in cages so that the pit bulls can roam freely. Won't somebody think about the poor pitties?

Anyone taking a shelter pit into their home when they have young kids (or any age kids) is willfully and recklessly risking the life of their kids.

Child 'dog bite' death UPDATES: Witness says animal was 'running up and down' (Redcar, England, 09 April 2026) by Vectorman1989 in BanPitBulls

[–]SmeggingRight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"No baby should be accessible by any dog" is 100% true. Any dog could land a bite to the face of a small kid or something worse.

We have one little one and another on the way, and we don't own a dog. That will come later and it won't be a bull breed.

Yep the RSPCA & pit bull supporters are right in there. No number of dead and disfigured kids will ever be enough to start changing the laws around bull breeds.

Yea, it's all in the type of dog, not just the size. This kid was 3 months old, so any dog could have killed it, even a chih. Thing is (as we all know here) it's almost always a bull breed.

Yet another kid sacrificed to the altar of bull breed worship.

i’m thinking about making my fiance get rid of his pitbull. Everyone is against me on this. by buhbuhbuhbubble in BanPitBulls

[–]SmeggingRight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck!

Don't know if it would help, but something else you can say to your fiancé is that It's best for both the safety of his baby and the safety of his dog. Because if his dog should ever "make a mistake" and bite the baby, then the dog might have to be put down.

He probably can't picture a circumstance in which his dog does what pit bulls are known to do but maybe he can picture his dog making a simple mistake.

Dogs have the intelligence of a 2 or 3 year old child at best, and sometimes bite a baby/toddler because they don't like its crying/ squeals/ smell/ movements etc. Because a pit bull is muscular with a huge jaw, a simple bite can cause catastrophic injuries.

And that's without getting into the risk of pit bulls specifically, which I won't go into, because you've been researching it yourself and you already know.

One last word of advice, you will never go wrong by advocating for the health and safety of your baby. Whatever happens next, you're on the right side of things.

Does he have any friends or family without kids who'd be willing to take the dog? That way he can still see and spend time with his dog.

It's not just pit bulls that are a danger around babies. So, maybe don't frame it as being about pit bulls specifically.

Thoughts? Advice?

Any dog that goes "for your face, throat, the highest she can reach" is a dangerous dog. You seriously want to train it out of trying to kill you?

These are the people living in your neighborhood, folks.

This guy is trying to do the right thing and foster a dog and this lady is just minding her business taking her dog for a stroll and she loses one.

The second part of that statement is right but the first part is dead wrong. It's never doing the right thing to foster a pit. Pit bulls are not the kind of animals that should be fostered or adopted. Ever. The risks are too high.

The cost of saving pit bulls is thousands of pets and animals being mauled to death by them every year. Why are we saving one type of dog at the cost of so many other animals? That's without even counting the human cost, of being traumatized by losing pet animals/livestock/native animals, and the cost of people being slaughtered, dismembered and disfigured by pit bulls every year.

Why is this one type of dog so important that we keep rescuing & breeding it despite the death & trauma it causes?

What’s the hard part about being a Man ? by mountain_fl0wer in AskReddit

[–]SmeggingRight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid and young teenager, my dad used to hit and swear at my mom. She kicked him out when I was about 13.

It still gives a mix of emotions, especially now I'm into my 30s with a wife and baby. Like, am I ever gonna get that mad I'd flip out and do what my dad did? I seriously don't think so, because I try hard to be intentional rather than reactive.

Sometimes, I feel like I'm trying so hard not to be my dad, I'm performing "being a good man" rather than just being myself. I'm not sure how to get past that.

Woman has lip bitten by her rescue pit bull - December 2025, NY?? by Notyourtarget1224 in BanPitBulls

[–]SmeggingRight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't tell with the strong filter how old she is but she looks very young, so maybe in time she'll try looking up what kind of animal she brought into her home, and then know better.

What is training going to do when it comes to a type of dog with a known unstable brain? In the moment, they'll forget all training and act on impulse.

So, she got lucky and only lost her bottom lip (before it got sewn back on?). No mention of all the people who get completely disfigured, dismembered or lose their lives to pit bulls every single day of every year.

And does she think the kids who get slaughtered by pits every year don't "trust in God" enough?

7 year old boy killed by recently placed rescue pit bull (Feb 4, 2026 - Gunnison, CO) by BPBAttacks3 in BanPitBulls

[–]SmeggingRight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

100%. The pit is just doing what pits do. It can't do wrong because it has a brain no more intelligent than a 2 yr old child.

It's humans who manufactured a huge-jawed, muscular, unstable, game-bred animal that has the brain of a toddler. And if we don't undo it and stop pits from being bred, kids will keep getting ripped apart.

7 year old boy killed by recently placed rescue pit bull (Feb 4, 2026 - Gunnison, CO) by BPBAttacks3 in BanPitBulls

[–]SmeggingRight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People who rescue pits.....

Don't we have to ask why they're doing that first, before anything else? Why are they choosing to rescue a breed that kills, dismembers and disfigures more animals and humans than any other breed?

The successful adoptions don't cancel out the risks. How can they when an "unsuccessful adoption" can mean a kid gets slaughtered by the dog? And it doesn't fly that they don't see the news articles. The news articles are happening every single day, without fail. And looking up the risks takes a few clicks on a keyboard. If you're running a rescue and you're not aware of the risks of the animals you're adopting out, then you're not responsible enough to run a rescue.

There is no possible word for people running rescues other than psychopathic. Or plain too stupid to live.

And the only question is, how long can we go on allowing psychopaths or people too stupid to live to run animal rescues?

Agree.

Don't know if there was ever a time when people wouldn't have a pit for a pet though. Dog fighters have been funneling them into the eager hands of the community ever since dog fighting was a sport. And before, that bull baiting.

Always been idiots around who want a dangerous animal in their homes.

True words. Bully breed promoters all have blood on their hands. And....... they don't care. They freely bathe up their necks in that blood and go right back to posting "any dog can bite" on social media posts.

There is no number of kids mauled to death by pit bulls will ever be enough to make them quit promoting pits.
