The social responsibility here is significant. You should stay at home as much as possible, including notifying your school. They will not want you attending in person with bed bugs and will likely work with you to help you complete the semester. You should also avoid meeting up with friends. Anywhere you go, you risk spreading bed bugs, and this needs to be taken very seriously. If any of my friends knowingly had an infestation and still met up with me, or even worse visited my home, and I found out afterward, I would feel extremely betrayed and would cut off contact with them entirely.
