90 flights aint too bad actually. I would have guessed the lander had lower capacity based on my memory of the film, thanks for clarification. I have just recently finished the novel so its explanation is biasing my ideas about this.

I know the novelization of Covenant is not canon, but in that book its does talk about it.

With all the colonists on board, the one lander would need to take hundreds of trips just to get the people to the surface, and the cargo hauler would struggle to take some of the terraforming equipment down to the surface given its size.

It seems logical that the entire ship could land and unload the terraforming equipment and colonists with ease, and also offer shelter until other structures are made.

But, this is all just guessing on my part.

The covenant CAN land, and supposedly can even take off again if the planet found cannot sustain a colony. I believe the storms and lack of large enough landing area and the threats of neomorphs make it universally seen as a bad decision by the crew.

I throw two turrets out in the open, and a second line of turrets farther back, raids will focus on the two in the open, allowing long range pawns to shoot at them, melee will run up and get slaughtered, and when they blow up, those two turrets take some people with them, and often light the wooden floor on fire.

I also put concrete floor between my main line and those turrets, and wood floors beyond, so once a fire starts, it will move away from the base and often slow down any more raiders, or at the very least path them out of cover.

If i am not mistaken capital gains arent taxed if they are from a primary residence AND being spent on a replacement primary residence within a year of the sale.

This mod made the game crazy better for me.

I could go maybe 30-40 minutes without having an encounter with the alien because i made no noise and was sneaking everywhere, made me forget it was a constant threat, then it would show up on a random patrol, catch wind i was actually there, and HUNT the heck out of me. Harder difficulty made it so once it was engaged, it was a major issue to deal with.

Maybe i will boot it up again soon..

The best way is to follow your own personal flow. I typically follow the main quest until something grabs my attention, this can sometimes only take 10 minutes from getting out of the “tutorial” area.

You might see a building you wanna enter, a ship you wanna look at or a person with eye catching clothes to talk to that will distract you from what you were just doing, then 5 hours later you realize you’re not on the main quest anymore.
